When does maintenance get expensive?

We have a 2019 X3 30i w/ x-drive w/75k miles that I have to decide to sell or keep for a while when my M4 arrives. When does this version of the X3 maintenance cost tend to get really high? I have replaced the brakes and tires, but everything else on the X3 currently operates like new. Just wondering if there are any near term or 100k mile substantial maintenance costs that I need to consider.

It won’t be expensive to maintain unless you go to the stealership.

I hope this is the case...Everyone says it's expensive to maintain ( a little less expensive at an INDY shop, and a little less expensive if you DIY than an INDY shop)

Other than oil, we have only changed the brake fluid while the brakes were serviced.

Post warranty maintenance has been completed either by me or a specialty import shop local to us. Sounds like nothing major to worry about for a while.

Thanks for the responses. We will likely keep it for a while.

I maintain a ford truck and a x4M40, the truck is much more expensive, it's had 4 tone rings break and each time over 800 and two brake jobs each over 1500 and sheared off exhaust bolts at 4200 not to mention tires oil fluids, truck is six years old has 32k on it x4 is 4 years old and only ever needed brakes and substantially less for its brakes than fords and oil and tires...yeah sure its tires cost way more than the fords, ok you got me on that one. still at four years the ford was thousands more than the BMW. I think the old myth of foreign is more expensive is just that, myth.

1500 for brakes on a ford? You're doing it wrong
