Do all 2022 M40i have digital key and passenger lumbar deletions currently?

I have seen posts on the digital key delete, but do all USA destinations also have the 48Z - passenger lumbar deletion -$175? I would prefer to have the lumbar support on the passenger side if it is an option. I am getting the Tacora Red SensaTec and Premium Package if that has an impact. Just wanted to confirm before contacting the dealer to request my order be changed before it is too late.

I would think it would be called out on the order sheet if it were deleted. Mine was.

I went ahead and asked the dealer today. They stated that they could not add the passenger lumbar back without cancelling the order. They confirmed I can still make changes (status 111), but that change would kick me out of the Sept 1 build date. I went ahead and left it as is, but was a bit surprised about that deletion. I did not ask them if it would change with Vernasca as i didn’t want to make that change.

Come to think of it, and maybe I dreamed this, but I feel like someone posted a 2022 with the ventilated seats and it had the passenger lumbar support?

The digital key I think you’re out of luck. Don’t think any of us are getting that.

I ordered my X3 M40i this past Friday and the order sheet shows the deletion of the digital key and passenger lumbar delete. I did not order the ventilated seats, but I did choose the leather option. I tried to order the rear heated seats option, but was told that option wasn't accepted for some reason due to possible parts issue.

I also just ordered this past Saturday a x3 m40i but I got the ventilated seats so it did not show delete of the passenger lumbar option, all it showed was the deletion of the digital key.

If the digital key is the only deletion does that mean the wireless charger is available again?

Looks like no lumbar or digital key for now. They were deleted from ours. Also no available phone charging.

I have tacora red sensatec and do not have lumbar adjustment or digital key. No choice to add them back.

You can still unlock and lock from your phone as well as remote start.

I have found the seats to be very comfortable and have adequate bolstering. This is coming from someone that is below average height and moved to the x3 from a Golf R so I might be biased

My M40i was in "production begins" status since Aug 15th and had "Deletion of the digital key" and "deletion of passenger Lumbar" listed under standard options.
Went into assembly line today and both these Delete lines are no longer on the list. Who knows maybe I will get them. I have Vernasca, non ventilated. Anyone who already got the car noted the same pattern/amendments once it moved past "production begins"?

FYI - the BMWUSA configurator has just noted this on the X3 M40i. Wasn't there when I built a car the other day.

My car went into production in the last couple days. On the VIR from last Friday it lists the deletion of digital key, but on the site under standard features there's no mention of it, just like yours.

Does the ventilated seats allow both seat heating and ventilation on at the same time?

My production is now completed and mdecoder shows digital key as well as passenger lumbar, BUT it also shows manual transmission , so I called BMW, and was told no digital key, no passenger lumbar/width adjustment

I think you've mistaken the german translation when looking at the option codes under mdecoder. Digital Key would never show up under mdecoder, because it is part of 322 - Comfort Access. However, the removal of the digital key will show up on the option codes.

Option 32Z - Deletion of Digital Key. It'll likely say ENTFALL BMW DIGITAL KEY which is the german wording for it.

Option 48Z - Removal of Passenger Side Lumbar and/or Width Adjustment.

Thank you - You are right - entfall indeed translates as Loss and 48z is in there (not sure how I missed it)

You've overlooked the most important thing - what about the manual transmission?!?

Still need to use your hand to move the lever into the drive mode - sound like Manual to me.
I saw many posts about it - it often shows manual - don't know why..
