Yes this is how I did it on my 2017 440i
When it's all you have you don't know any better. But I'm looking forward to touch screen.

I called the genius hotline. I found out I'm scheduled for week 31 production requested but might slip to week 33.

I just got off the phone with the genius hotline, I've been hesitant to call until something changed on MyGarage website. I'm still in status: Scheduled For Production. I was so surprised when the representative told me I'm in production week 31 with an expected completion between Aug 15-30 but could be sooner! I placed the order at the dealership July 9th, that seems awfully quick… Is this possible, wondering if this was a super ambitious representative I spoke to?

I didn't mean it like that. She isn't a fan of the size and the ride quality that's all.
When she finally gets in the X3, it's going to feel like a sports car.

I was surprised also. I was assuming week 34.
I placed my order on July 12th and accepted same day.

It's all confusing. I was told I'm week 32 & Mine charged to production begins on 7-22.
I have a VIN and a production date of 7-9
So you being week 31 & no movement & a later production date? How do we know who to believe?! I hope yours is as soon as they are saying. This is worse than waiting for an allocation. Lol

I took it as a tongue-in-cheek comment.

Heck, my wife calls my X3 a truck. Finally, I said, "Okay, it's a truck but it's a damn fast truck."

X4 M40i, build week 31, which is this week but still status 112, BMW genius can't figure out why there's no movement on the status and can't provide anything other than "this is what I have in the system" and advice me to just wait, I guess we will just keep doing what we all have been doing…just wait lol

If you look at the prodDate value with the network inspect trick does it show anything?

No, ProdDate field doesn't exist in mine when I do the F12 trick. Based on others in this thread, ProdDate and VIN only exist when one has the status of 150.

Yeah, makes it hard to process what the Genius(?) is telling you. I'll believe mine's ready when the dealership calls me.

Yes I did. It doesn't do or show a whole heck of a lot. Under vehicle info it says X3 M40i & shows your VIN
I tried clicking on the owners guide & after you accept terms it's say no content. But at least I added it & it recognized then VIN. more baby steps. 😁

And the plot thickens (maybe better to just say it's actually muddier to me now).

The collective and hard-won wisdom from this Forum contradicts what the "Genius" representative just told me on the phone - that yes, I am still slated for Week 32 build, but NO - that is the week that production would BEGIN on my 2023 X3 M40i, and production "typically takes about 2-2 1/2 weeks for an X3, so that isn't too bad"....

All options are still a go - remote start, wireless charging, HK - and he confirmed that Apple Carplay and AA are built into the operating system as standard (his words), so yes that is still confirmed as well. It would be helpful for BMW to get these people the same script to read from (or better tools from which to pull info).

We shall see folks....

Haha - the genius I spoke to last week told me the production date is the completion date! I wonder if it’s different for different trims?

I have heard both sides of that production starts, production ends date thing on multiple different cars for years. I never know which is actually the correct answer since people keep quoting the allegedly reliable sources claiming both answers.

In nother news, I moved to production begins!

My production date was the completion date. Once I hit 150, there was no movement until the production date.

Yes indeed. The next waiting game before each subsequent waiting game.

I placed the order more than 3 months ago, and I am still sitting at week 32 with 112 - and BMW genius cant tell me anything. Called them twice yesterday and first guy said I am in code 150 with production to be completed before end of the month, and second guy said I am still in 112. They cant even give me a single consistent answer what is current status of my build, let alone what is going on with still-in-112 hell. This waiting game is now being played on anxiety playground
