What options for HPFP and LPFP upgrades for GEN 2 B58TU

Just wanted to see what's available as upgrades, was considering Spool's FX 350/400 HPFP https://spoolperformance.com/collections/b58-tu

and LPFP from Precision Raceworks https://precisionraceworks.com/produ...47280262578369 stg 1/2

anyone know of any other offerings?

Visconti has a kit Stg1 Fuel System Upgrade

Dorch’s HPFP is similar in cost to Spool, but couldn’t say which product offering is “better”. I do know Dorch seems to be a popular choice though

Do not buy the spool hpfp nothing but issues. Dorch is a bit more reliable and easier to tune, overall I would just go PI route or do dorch pump with lpfp and s58 injectors.

Ty. just seeing what other options are out there..I know bm3 is releasing their version of di controller or motive.

I need to keep doing more research if I decide to go bigger turbo than the vtt gc I have sitting in the corner...lol.
If I decide to stick with gc turbo, the stock fuel system will be enough?

I’d also stay away from DAW🤷‍♂️

Stock fuel system will get you around 600ish with the GC

Stay away from a customer service perspective or quality control issues? Their brand new turbo offering seems to be super optimal and priced respectably

Quality IMO over the years I’ve tuned probably 50-60 cars with daw turbos and I’ve just never liked them they always seem to underperform vs pure/Vargas. In most cases our customers end up being upset with the power they make and swap to the pure or Vargas turbo and end up being happy.
Or they end up upgrading the turbo to the next model up with daw then still don’t ever reach the results they want. To top it off most of these upgrades are from failed turbos after only a few hundred to thorns miles on them.

What was the underperforming aspects of it? Air output? Turbine wheels/compressors? Cooling?

Power, car would make way less than advertised with the turbo being maxed out

The only thing about Rev 2 is that those who are looking to do it may have to resend their DME back to Femto?? I'm not sure if this is true or for those who do did not opt for the custom ROM from BM3.** found the ans

post from @mikeAx-ph.com https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=2090626

🔸What's a REV2 board?
The FIRST and ONLY automotive aftermarket ECU with FlexRay™ protocol support providing standalone ECU features such as DIRECT port fuel injector control, boost solenoid control among many others as well as adding an expansive list of sensor inputs to supplement tuning abilities like never before, while running on a High-performance 32-bit Power Architecture MCU for Automotive Applications.

🔸What do you mean DIRECT control?
DIRECT, pulse width modulation (PWM) using spare outputs on the factory DME repurposed for REV2 use, courtesy of bootmod3 CustomROM.

🔸Why not CANBus?
We wanted direct control, without overhead and potential loss of messages that may happen over CANBus. Factory DME uses PWM control for fuel injectors, so does the REV2.

🔸What the heck is FlexRay™?
FlexRay is a next-gen automotive communications protocol. It addresses many shortcomings of CANBus while being designed to ensure high data rates, fault tolerance and ability to guarantee message delivery. Google it

🔸What is different between running this and an off the shelf standalone ECU?
Tuning done in one place and integration. Once REV2 is installed, you never connect to it again. Your tuner makes a map in bootmod3 editor as usual, you flash it, and off you go.

🔸What other outputs can it control?
Any PWM device (e.g. nitrous solenoid, meth solenoid, fuel pump, etc).

🔸What sensors can it handle?
Any 0-5v analog or digital sensors, including 2 EGT inputs, pre-configured.

🔸Is it water resistant?
Yes! REV2 has an IP66 water resistant enclosure for convenience of engine bay install.

🔸When, when, when?
REV2 board is ready. CustomROM V2 software release ETA Q2 2024!

🔸What cars will be supported?
All bootmod3 CustomROM supported vehicles. Releases will be staged with S58 support coming first, followed by the rest of the vehicle platforms currently on CustomROM (B58, S55, N55, and others).

Same here, based on dyno results and talking to Alec I think it’s going to be an amazing option! Main thing I’m interested in is reliability and ease of power(how hard do I need to push the turbo to make x amount of power, how hot does the turbo get at x amount of boost-this can be seen when tuning on pump gas which then causes knock this is why bigger turbo typically make more power on pump gas vs smaller turbos)
I will definitely keep everyone updated.

I also expect us to have a newgen daw coming in the near future and will let y’all know how that is as well, hopefully they’ve fixed the issues and the turbo can deliver like promised

So any consensus on a good LPFP to replace stock one..considering down the road once I start install with new turbo.

this?https://precisionraceworks.com/produ...47280262545601

Stg1 of course.

Will stock LPFP handle 100% E85 with stock TU HPFP?

Was driving around the other day and got sudden fuel cut at WOT...wasn't logging and at E63 at the time. Just concern that once I install new GC turbo I will be maxing it and will want some room and not run the system at 99.9%.
