I know this has been covered before. Trying this tow hook license plate look. The sensor is right there, any one know if this sensor can be turned off or coded out? Or anyone with the tow hook can tell if they had any luck without triggering sensors? I feel like I may have to just put it back in the center. And I’m not taking off my license plate and riding around with a front plate

EOS Tow Hook mount, does not trigger any sensors. High quality product, very quick shipping, easy to mount and rock solid to past a 100mph. Used a Lexan plastic tinted cover on the front to make the plate blend in with the black front of the M40i.

One other note, my car is a 2023, maybe BMW moved the sensors slightly for the 2023 model year. I would ask (email) EOS, they would know if their plate mount will work your model year X3!

I just got an EOS plate holder for my 2018 GOi pre LCI and there is no way to install it without triggering the parking sensor. I asked for a refund and they offered me an extension for it . I said I would try it

Let me know how it goes with the extension. I put my license plate back in the center cause I couldn’t deal with all The beeping every minute. Maybe I could code out the sensor but then again it’s a nice luxury to have.

I’m not sure . I don’t think so. One of my friends gave me his mount and tow hook he had on his M5. I would need something that extends or swivels I guess

What year is ya X3? And do you have a pic of the car with the license plate mounted ?

2022. I used plumbers tape on the part that screws into the tow hook and around the other end to keep it from spinning loose from vibrations. You have to use the middle 4 screw holes on the right most of the plate bracket so it won't interfere with the sensors on my 22, but you would need to see what works best on yours.

Okay thank you. And yea it’s gonna be trial and error with this car lol I’m determined tho to make it work someway somehow. Thanks for the advice

EOS was nice enough to send me the extension lowering bracket but it still triggers the parking sensor. Very good customer service, would definitely buy from them again .

Glad their customer service was very good. Only option would be to code out the sensors but I’m not doing that lol they come in very handy parallel parking here in NYC lol

Agreed,definitely shouldn’t have to code the sensor out .I suggested that they take the 2018 X3 30i off the listed cars it fits
