Wipers movement residue - caused by reppelent (Angelwax H2GO)?How to clean/remove it?

I applied Angelwax H2GO few months ago. This was a brand new windshield, changed because of irreparable asterisks. I hand-washed the whole car, then the windows with Angelwax Vision followed by H2GO. All according to instructions. If I remember correctly. it didn't rain for a day or two after that. What you see on the picture is after 4 months. I also added 1 liter of Angelwax Clarity (diluted, also according to instructions), to the washer fluid reservoir. There is almost no repellency now, and I'm not even sure if it's H2GO or something else.

My question is, whether the "residue" of the wiper movement is caused by the H2GO, and if so, how do I remove it. I already washed the windshield (and wipers) a few times, also with AW Vision, but the line is always there. It's annoying especially on the drivers half, when in some circumstances it makes the visibility worse.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Mine is doing this as well now, my windscreen is coated with Gtechnic G5 nano coating. My wipers have done 9000 miles now so I've ordered some new Bosch ones to see if that sorts it.

How old and how many miles have your wiper blades done?

Anyone found silicone wiper blade for the G01?
Had great experience with those types. Not only it last longer, it seems to do something with the windscreen after a period of use where water beads easier and flys off the widescreen at freeway speed without having to apply the rain repellent.
Water mark seems to go away too
Observed this on 3 different cars, with different wiper brands and different period of time

Mines are 8 months old (that's how long we have the car, so they are OEM), and have 11k kms.

Valeo have a good reputation, just like they price

You can use glass polish to remove anything on the window.

Honestly, I would never put anything on the glass. Just keep it clean. Nothing beats 100% clean glass with no coatings, etc.

Couldn't agree more. There's never any need for coatings, not even Rain-x. They only cause problems sooner or later.

Glass polish should work to remove it, or a detailing clay bar.

Even straight off of the car lot there are waxes, oils, etc from production and/or dealer prep. You put on a temporary coating and people think it's the best thing ever. Straight, clean glass will almost give a ceramic coating appearance. You know why? Ceramic coat is pretty much a liquid that almost turns into glass.

I have also had a similar problem and tried all sorts to remedy this, finally resorted to brand new microfibre cloth and some petrol. It has worked a treat. My car has done 2k miles and was coated with Autobrite Direct hydrophobic coating.

Glass polish will get this off. I have used AngelWax Vision and H2Go for over a year on 3 different cars (including M40i...admittedly only had this one for a few weeks) but have no
Issues whatsoever. In last Q5 windscreen was replaced due to crack, and recoated.

I disagree that straight glass is best, will never bead/sheet like a SI02 coating.

I do agree that RainX is cr*p though!

Agree with Nev on this one. H2Go is great, if a bit of a pig to clean from the screen after application, but that is just road grime and you need a decent polish to remove it. AutoGlym is okay but I want to try the Gtechniq stuff next.

Are you aware of what glass is made of? Silicon Dioxide... The same thing you just said was good on itself basically. So how does a glass coating perform better than glass itself?

It's not glass coating though, it's a hydrophobic coating.

Glass is almost completely flat so water sticks to it, hydrophobic coatings are millions of micro bumps so water and dirt is held up and rolls off easily.

Um..have you tried running water off clean/new glass vs. Glass coated with H2Go (or similar)? I think you will find water beads/runs off just a little easier

That's the thing though. I really don't want water to bead up on my windshield. They just get in the way... Acts as tiny little lenses that scatter light all around. I'd rather have a sheet of water to look through. But I guess that's me and my 20/10 vision.

Mate, they don’t bead up your windscreen, you drive and it all flies off. Anyway, each to their own. Was the 1st thing (after ceramic coating paint) I did, was clean and coat screens and windows. Water just falls off, meaning much less use of wipers.

Don’t knock it till you have tried

That's the thing. I have tried it and didn't like it. Being that I live in the wettest state in America, I've been wanting to try out new products... Yes, they work great on the freeway and the water does roll right off but when you're putting around town or have just a slight mist instead of a heavy rain, coatings are a no go for me... Washington state is just that... Slow moving traffic and hardly ever any downpours.

May be beneficial in places like Florida where their 30 inches of annual rain comes in a week. Our 30 inches is spread out over the course of 8 or 9 months.
