Removing high pressure steering hose

2007 X3. Trying to replace one of the high pressure steering hoses.

I turned the black cap counter-clockwise to "open" the connection but can not "push in" the connection to release it. It seems frozen in place. Have hit it hard with PB Blaster to see if that would help free it to no effect. I then cur the line to see if I could get the fitting to rotate and perhaps get it to free up that way. Again, just frozen in place

Any tricks to get this fitting disconnected?

Dale
