As others have mentioned it looks like it is falling on its face @5k+. By 6k it looks like you're making less power than stock. Would be nice to have a baseline to verify what the power curve should look like.

This is awesome!

One thing to note that I found out being curious is that RealOEM lists different PN's for many B58 related engines. For instance, the F22 (2-series), F30 (3-series), G30 (5-series), G01 and G05 (X-series) all have different PN #'s for their downpipes. Which is odd because multiple vendors list that their downpipes to fit 2 series, 3 series, and G series models. Also, it's worth noting for the applicable model the RWD or X-Drive have the same PN. The only thing I can decipher is the new models include a Euro 6 description. I really wonder if mechanically they are the same but have different ratings based on the year of Production.

I'm extremely curious as to what ER says as I can't see many MFG's making X-series downpipes if they are indeed different since it's such a small market of buyers.
Thank you for the parts recon.

ER actually makes them same day/next day when they get an order in. If they know that all they need to do is adjust the pipe 2° in one direction to meet the requirements for an X3, I don't know why they wouldn't get in on the market.

wondering if this could be true, my service advisor today stated bwm is now scanning cars remotely for ECU tunes. apparently several of his good clients had their warranty voided because if it.

What did you expect? It's kinda goes along with the territory.

Yesterday I went to the dealer and got my oil changed like nothing was different. Like I didn't have a 200 cell (smelly) DP with the distinct turbo whistling.

I thought you got the catted DP which should keep the exhaust odors under wraps, no? Is it smelly because of the leak or is that expected?

Interested in the DP once the fitment is worked out but I've dealt with the odor from uncatted exhausts before and don't want to go there with the X3. I am hoping its not a problem with the catted version.

It's got a bit of smell to it. Regardless of the leak, it's still there.

It's not like a 71 Chevelle SS with no cats if you know what I mean.

You don't get your warranty voided just because BMW feels like it...there has to be some justification or cause such as a major warranty claim. The time it takes for them to hook up and read/update your ECU generally isn't worth it unless there is cause. I personally wouldn't believe that advisor...and don't forget they can just as easily spot a piggyback tune as they can a flash.

wow this service guy is a major dick.

Remote scans ? Like what they are sending code back and forth via satellites to our cars to scan them for ECU tunes ? please , pure bullshit

How's this for a thread revival?

How did the fitment issues get resolved with ER?

Great now. They made me one just for my X3 M40i months ago. Fits great. I finally had the time to switch them out because I blew the stuffing out of the original one! They think it was a defect.

Thanks for the reply!

makes me slightly nervous, as the VRSF ones seem to be fitting nicely, however, they don't have the support brace on theirs.... decisions...

Well if it's any consolation, they are backing up their product. They've also agreed to pay my extra labor (installation fees).

When did you notice the honeycomb was blown out? I noticed someone did that with their BM3 and too aggressive burblesz

It was a gradual progression. Didn't know it until I had only 3psi of boost one day.
