Which TargetSelector should I select there are two F25

When connecting in e-sys there 2 different selections are available:
F025_18_11_520_V_004_002_000
and
F025_19_03_550_V_004_003_0000

I see both these directories in the C:\Data\psdzdata\mainseries\F025\
F025_18_11_520_V_004_002_000
F025_19_03_550_V_004_003_000

Which one should I select?
My vehicle is a 2011 35i if that matters.

Those are the same. The bottom one should be newer, and that is one to use.

Thanks, I'll select the newer one.

Updating modules on a 2011

I purchased a 2011 35i and don't know if all the various computer modules have the latest firmware? Is there a way to check each module to see if they are up to date. Any advice for verifying and updating the firmware for all my modules would be appreciated.

I installed the software update UPD01008.bin I downloaded directly from BMW which contained
MX-3.5.4
TX-3.5.8
TX-2.6.6
MX-1.12.0

I was looking for the instructions to "Create Flash TAL" but didn't find any step by step directions, as well as the flash procedure. Can you point me to some instructions? I assume any ECUs that get targeted should be flashed to the latest firmware? I have v.4.17.30_PSdZData_Full. I know flashing firmware can be risky, but I'll keep my battery charger connected to ensure sufficient voltage during the flash. Don't want to brick any ECUs.

E-Sys - Flashing ECU Guide v.1.0.1.pdf:
https://mega.nz/#!p9JQhAwZ!JJ9ptw8Ti...JcnSUvG81nYMsw

As for "should be flashed to the latest firmware", I don't flash any ECU without a known good reason, such as bug fix or feature added.

Thanks for the link. Agreed, if it's not broken, leave it alone, but where would I find a list of features and or bug fixes in an upgraded version? I guess though the 1st step is to find out the current versions compared to the latest and try to find what the latest added or fixed.

You won't find such a list.

If I can't determine what features of bugs are fixed, how would I know if I should flash to the newer version? At a minimum, what's the recommended modules to flash if they are outdated? I have a 2011 35i with most options (NAV, combox, teleservices, bluetooth, usb, hud, DSP, top view ...) Still need to "Create Flash TAL" to see what versions I currently have.

There are no recommended ECU's to be flashed simply because they are outdated.

And if you are not having any issues, you shouldn't need to flash anything.

I'm not having any issues so I'll refrain from flashing any modules for now. It's just that since I have an early 2011 F25, I didn't know if there were any features I'm missing out on. I successfully coded most things off the F25 Cheat Sheet. Thanks for all your assistance.

I was looking to add some additional info to the HUD as well as HP and torque to the nav display but didn't see the parameters in the CAF files. Maybe my vehicle is not capable to add these features?

Sadly, BMW Seldom adds new features.

I don't know why you cannot have Sport Displays. You do not have EFF_DYN_SPORT_CID in HU_CIC?

I do see EFF_DYN_SPORT_CID in HU_CIC, but I was reading I needed these other parameters below though I could not find the ones on red. I did not try to set EFF_DYN_SPORT_CID in HU_CIC to activ. Maybe the ft lb and hp settings have a different names?

Enable Sports Displays:
HU_CIC3000EFF_DYN_SPORT_CID --set to: aktiv
HU_CIC3000EFF_DYN_SPORT_UNIT --set to: aktiv

* To change units displayed to be ft lb and hp
KOMBI3008DREHMOMENT --set to: lb_ft (displays ft lb)
KOMBI3008LEISTUNG --set to: ps (displays hp)

Just code EFF_DYN_SPORT_CID. You should not need the others.

I set EFF_DYN_SPORT_CID to aktiv and no joy. I did not see any sport display selection show up when driving today. Maybe my HU_CIC module and or firmware does not support this feature?

Has anyone successfully got the sport HP/Torque feature to work on a 2011 F25?

It did not work in early F10 builds either.
