Side Step install ?

Morning all,

Anyone added a side step to their X3 - wondered how they looked given the little ridge at the bottom of the G01.

Would be useful for the kids but undecided which design to go for when there's no photos on a recent car.

Yes I saw them, not the best pics at all which is why I wondered if anyone had some fitted.

Those on the red car show how pointless they look, hardly offer an kind of step for someone getting in.

Where to they bolt underneath? Holes have to be drilled? I assume.

surely this is purely for looks, any sizeable person stands on that it'll buckle under the weight surely.

And my final question, WHY? the car isn't that high, my G/F isn't that tall and she manages to get in and out of the car OK.

No, doesnt seem like drilling would be required.

I actually bought this instead of a 4 series because of the extra height. My wife has a cruel type of autoimmune disease that causes her great pain. Psoriatic Arthritis. She can get in the car.... I would think anyone could.

I'll repeat its nothing to do with my wife, gf or myself.
Unless your wives/girlfriends are as tall as a 3 year old I do not see the point.

Anyone used this firm for fitting steps? Opinions, reviews?
Quite like the look of the Stingray steps, and they are only 30miles away...

3 years old? Just pick them up, or waste your money. Your choice. They all look dumb. My X3 is driven like a car. It can hold curves with no body roll. If yours can, too... don't do it.
