Just curious - why would you want or need to lock your doors while pumping gas since you're standing right there?
Theys criminals out there man, lurking, stalking just waiting to catch a brother slipping. 😂

Rear seatbelt warning with startup

Hi All -- upon starting my 22 x3 m40i, I see 3 small red seatbelt icons light up on my dash for about 15-20 seconds before turning off. I am the only passenger in the car, and there is nothing in the rear seat area yet this continues to happen every time i start the car - is it normal?

It does the same thing in my M4 in the same situation. Seems to be normal.

Next time , you don't need to remove the ecus you don't want to flash. Leave them in the file, just deselect them at tal execution stage

I think it's a kids-in-the-backseat thing, letting you know who's buckled up and who's not.

Hi there,

Noticed recently the kick during the ignition. For example, a car has been parked overnight then I press the start button and feel the sudden kick in the engine.
Does somebody else experience this as well?

It does the same thing in my M4 in the same situation. Seems to be normal.

Ah so yours shows for a full 15-20 seconds as well? Just seems strange because all the other lights turn off within the first few seconds. Thanks!

In bigger cities it's a pretty common crime for people to pull up beside your car and try to sneak in and steal stuff while you're pumping gas. I'm always watching, but it makes life easier if the car is locked during.

Is 10 miles on the clock normal for a car that just arrived to the dealer this week? I was given some papers yesterday that showed 2 miles on the odometer and today the updated paper work show 10 miles… is this normal or are they out there in launch mode playing with my toy???

Mine had 8 miles on it. I'm assuming that some of those miles were from them driving it to the gas station to fill up the tank before delivery. Others have reported anywhere from 4-12 miles on their cars. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I guess that's fine and reasonable number. Mine had 12 miles on the odo which would include a test drive as part of the PDI and a quick run to fill up Gas. Also I test drove the same car before I picked it up, which added 3-4 miles. You should be good if it's around 10 mile mark or lower.

Will the safety system in my car prevent me from rear ending another car if I am late on the brakes on the freeway without cruise control on?

If it’s a factory order it shouldn’t be more than 20-25 miles. The mileage depends on a few things like it may go through extra quality checks, transport movement, and pre-delivery inspection at the dealer.

Mine works pretty well. Hit the "P" button and slowly drive past the cars you want to parallel park in between or back in between. Once you hear the gong, hit the brakes and tap the square on the display to choose your spot. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
