I expect the prices will be higher for the M40i LCI, but I hope not drastically. I'm really interested in ordering one, but hope not to be priced out.

I was at the dealership last night and they told me the X3 LCI is very minor (this was for an X3M). Seems like there is a lot of different information floating around.

Well, however its the straight finish line for the vehicle to be announced, we are looking approx a month ahead, and we will know most of the stuff
My bet is: -update in headlights -update in taillights -update in front and rear bumpers -full iDrive7 with updated driving assistant functions incl. Driving assistant view in the dash -12 inch center screen -updated center console with gear shifter (x5 alike) -updated climate control section ( x5 alike ) -some new colors and trim options Lets see how it goes Last edited by Mindau; 04-07-2021 at 09:57 AM.. |

I'm curious to see which crowd winds up being right as lots of folks are convinced of the opposite as well. I don't think it's that hard to imagine the business case for a larger than normal LCI in the hottest vehicle segment, especially with a brand new GLC competitor on the way, a color change up and some minor light changes don't feel like they'll cut it. |

I don't know which way the LCI is going to go, but I agree that it's not hard to imagine a bigger change than normal. The 2020 model had pretty major changes for a non-LCI year. We called it an LCI Lite. So continuing that trend with a more significant than normal LCI wouldn't be crazy. And as you say, the brand new GLC will be introduced soon and will surely follow the MY22 C Klasse, a major upgrade for the segment.

I just think it's funny that the people who have decided to wait for the LCI are predicting (hoping) there will be "major changes", and those of us that decided not to wait are predicting the changes are minor so we won't end up feeling bad.

Well FWIW, here is what changed for the last gen X3 during its LCI. Hardly what I would call radical and that generation was in a much more precarious position from a competition standpoint.
Refreshed Styling: New modified twin-circular headlights (LED headlights are optional) More eye-catching kidney grille with new surround New front and rear bumpers Exterior mirrors with integrated LED turn signal indicators LED front fog lights Four new exterior paint colors Four newly styled light-alloy wheels New Tech: 6.5" Navigation Screen with iDrive controller with touchpad Parking Assistant Full-color BMW Head-Up Display Active Driving Assistant with ACC Stop & Go, including Lane Departure Warning, Frontal Collision Warning, Pedestrian Warning, and City Collision Mitigation |

Luckily I'd be waiting either way so I'm not missing out. I'd like to get behind the wheel of the new GV70 before we make our decision, and they're still about a month out.
Even if the LCI isn't as huge as I'm thinking it will be, the X3 is still definitely on the table, I've always liked it. But my assumption(and obviously its a big assumption) is that there will be larger changes in perceived interior quality, which I'm more than willing to wait for. |

Not a fan of the exterior of the GV70 from what I've seen in pictures. Will have to see one in person. Meanwhile we traded her 2014 Explorer in on a 2021 Trailblazer thinking she could drive that until my daughter is of driving age then we'll get the X3... so far she's really liking the Trailblazer, so I may save a lot of money. |

Those aren't the only wheels available, but yeah, they are ugly.

Yeah the Genesis configurator isn't properly updated to show everything at the moment.

Hi Guys a newbie here , I am also excited to see the LCI here in Poland, I ordered my G01 last week, the dealer gave me annex to the order with a clause that if they cannot secure a production date for non LCI then they will offer an attractive price for the lci version. He was certain that it will be an LCi that will be delivered as no slots are available for the current model production. They have given a tentative September delivery. As per others , they have mentioned the dates will be confirmed 2nd week of May.
