Yeah, it's a possibility. Hate to have to pull it off again though. It's not hard to put on but just a bit of a pain with some of the clips.

I'm glad you guys are being the guinea pigs on this! I think I'll unplug the parking sensors and get them fitted in the diffuser properly before fitting it.

The sensor has a plastic tab that fits into a notch on the rear of the diffuser and can only be pushed in so much. Oddly one notch cut out was positioned at the top of the sensor slot and at the other side at the bottom.

I don't believe a sensor being positioned upside down would make a difference.

I should think it does as it’s left and right sensing will be reversed!

Hmm. Aside from the noise, beeping, does it seem to pick up the motion and "radar" for an object the same way as before?

For me it is hard to say because it constantly beeps when in reverse.

I think they must not have glued the sensor clips on accurately. I’ll probably remove them and re-glue them in the exact right spot. Bit of a faff, but better than waiting for BMW to release a diffuser, and no doubt paying at least 4 times as much for it!

Looking at my current sensors it looks the the face of them is at exactly 90° to the ground, so I guess that's what we have to try and achieve.

Well my spoiler is finally in the UK! Currently held in Coventry for customs inspection, hope they don’t bloody send it back to China!

I ordered some different 3M tape for the spoiler which is getting delivered tomorrow. Hoping I can get the tape on the spoiler tomorrow, let it sit overnight, then attach to the X3 sometime in Sunday.

With teaston's bloody pestering, I've reseated both parking sensors on the diffuser. We'll see if it made any difference the next time I throw it in reverse.

It's not even 7am here. 😂

I'll be leaving to take the one kiddo to gymnastics in a couple of hours so we'll see if the rear sensors are any better then.

The 3M tape for the spoiler is getting delivered sometime today from Amazon. Hope to have it on at some point tomorrow if time permits.

Well that sucks. It must be an issue with the way the diffuser was made. Is it possible to turn off the sensors? That would defeat the whole purpose of them though.

Yeah, I think they need to be completely flush with the diffuser to not beep. It's an annoyance but I guess just what comes with getting a part for so cheap. Lol.

Well, my dumb ass wasn't paying enough attention when ordering the 3M tape and I got 1/4" wide. That is definitely not wide enough to be putting on the spoiler!
