2015 x3 key fob is not working well sometimes

I have change the battery twice. Sometimes when I start the car, it ask me to get the key near the steeling wheel. It never happen for the past 3 years.

How to get dealer to get me a new key?

Well yeah, but if he's out of warranty he's SOL.

Mine does that sometimes, I replaced the battery only once. It works again without putting the key close.

I attribute it to radio interference sometimes, depending on what's around it.

You likely don't need a new key, and if you're out of warranty that's expensive.

I am recording videos before I bring in for service. They have to replace the key for me. My warranty will expire next month. lol
