Problem of adjustability?? Why can't people simply open the manual and read how to engage the launch control?

I drove this at the Mtown tour along with every other car there except the 850, and it stole the show for me. I am not the biggest fan of crossovers and have little need for the space, but yet I am somehow convinced that this should be my next car. This thing is an absolute gem.

#1 issue every single video blogger or "professional" view review has done... they don't engage launch control and when they do its literally for 1 second and don't build boost and shows 4+ seconds 0-60

Then BMW needs to make it easier to use. Journos are not going to read every manual for every car they test. BMW are you listening?

Not every car is the same to activate LC... MB is different then VW is different then BMW ... so they would need to ready the manual to activate and understand it.

It literally takes 120 seconds to find it in the manual and read. Once assigned to one of the M buttons, it is really simple to execute.

This was a great review, and exactly how I felt when I first drove it. I went to the dealer dead set on taking home an M850, but it was uninspiring to me (I came from an F80 M3C).

Took me a while to get over that I ordered a crossover, but I am loving my X4M.

I know. They won’t do it. And when they read the manual they film it and make fun of how complex it is. Which is cool. Insurance I guess thinks it’s not fast. Good for rates.

Too small for what I'd be looking for, but certainly a very capable SUV.

Interesting the kid was complaining about too many options for adjustability. Probably should only come in one color as well?

Otherwise, good review.

Agreed! If you can't/don't want to wait for the G80/82 M3/M4 this is probably it lol

Right, and if they're professionals then they should spend the 2 minutes to figure it out rather than flunk that part of their performance review.

I’ve owned a lot of BMW’s over the years, the full range, and this car has been far and away my favorite

I'm surprised no mention of the steering. I am pretty impressed by the steering feel and accuracy vs recent M cars.
