Since I am a new member, I have to post a reply and wait for 1 hour to use PM. I should be able to start using PM in an hour or so from now.

No, you can do better. The dealer shouldn't count your rebates in the sales price to get a true percentage off MSRP.

Just called a genius and they said it should be at the dealer tomorrow. The plan is to collect it Monday afternoon!

Mike can you share your production timeline? Mine had been stuck in 150 for 6 days now.. how long did it take for yours from the start to finish?

I have been tracking this -- most of us were in 150 for 9-12 days before going to the next step. 6 days is nothing to worry about.

Yes, this is only 7% off MSRP before rebates. I am trying with another dealer to see if they can bump this to around 10%.

I don't remember the timeline too much.. I just know it went into "assembly" a week ahead of quality control. I want to say assembly around 7/26 and quality check the day it was suppose to be done.. 8/3. Delivery was ORIGINALLY slated for 8/8, but like I mentioned before the engineering holds pushed that back. Not a single M40i moved from the VPC to anywhere until 8/10.

My dealer says the estimated production finishing date is 8/14, so that's about a week in production?

Don't jinx it, it's not at the dealership yet!

I think it started 7/25? And we're waiting for it to be delivered at the dealership... hopefully today!

Yeah, it will sit in "production begins" for at least 7-10 days, then right at the end of that period it will fly through a bunch of steps. My timeline was:

7/10 order placed and in 112 status
7/26 production begins
8/7 Entering assembly line
8/8 Assembly in progress

The MyBMW website seemed to freeze at that point but on 8/9 the 1-800 line changed to "being transported to port of exit" (status 190). A couple days later the website updated to "awaiting carrier assignment" (status 181 I believe). Obviously the data is out of order and probably stale at this point. Sales manager says the car is at VPC along with 5 other X3 orders from his dealership.

Mine is scheduled for production. Do you think it's possible to change my build? Thinking of adding Lux option.

You can make changes up to 112, but once it goes to 150 it's too late. So if you are still 112 or below, talk with your dealer and have them make the changes.

Thanks. I believe it's only $350 to add for me. So it makes sense to
