BMW rolled back the MF to .00166 last week. Good through the end of July. Can be locked in for 90 days.

I saw that over on Edmunds and locked it in. I just got my final deal tonight. I couldn't be more thrilled! How'd I do?

Pretty much the exact build I'll be getting, though I think we'll go with Black Sapphire. I also haven't really understood any explanation about the Adaptive M Suspension or the M Sport Differential, so I'm assuming that means I shouldn't buy either

Looks awesome. Hoping to hold out until we can get a 10% dealer discount + incentives, but we'll see how long we can wait...

I'm at 10.19% off MSRP BEFORE rebates. It's likely only because of having a 2018 and then BMW cancelling it and rolling it into a 2019. CAN. NOT. WAIT.

That's a great deal! But what am I missing then?

I did (MSRP-Cap Cost), then subtract rebates to get to adjusted cap cost.

Did I do that wrong? Admittedly I don't know what inceptions are...

Want to make sure I understand as much as I can before I try to do this again. Getting someone to agree to 10% off before rebates was like pulling teeth when I tried to do this a couple months ago. I didn't end up buying then for a couple of reasons, but I can't tell you how many times I heard "I've never seen a deal like that / BMWs pricing is the same everywhere and that's below our cost for the car / etc etc etc". It's exhausting.

Sorry for the short post.. on the go...

When I say 10.19% off MSRP I'm just talking about the percentage difference between sales price and MSRP. The inceptions (first month, registration, acquisition fee) are then added to the sales price and then the rebates are subtracted out for adjusted cap. Essentially the rebates just paid for my inceptions in the deal posted. I'm giving a little more cash along with the rebates to make the payment $799 just because. It's stupid to do, but I want the monthly statement to reflect less then $800.

You can supposedly find the "dealer cost" by subtracting 5% of the MSRP from the invoice cost of the car. If you do that I think my sales price is $622 above "dealer cost" and once you figure the dealer has real costs involved in taking delivery of the car (PDI, etc) they're probably not making anything on my deal. Maybe someone from a dealer can chime in and tell me if my thinking is correct.

I read somewhere on this forum a very detailed way to calculate dealer cost but can't find the post. It was something like 93% of MSRP for base vehicle, plus 92% of list price for options, plus the $995 delivery cost.

Edit- found it....it was a post from you pcmike https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...5#post23330932

93% of the base price+$500 plus 92% of the options+$1175

(BMW US Invoice Pricing calculation
Base vehicle US MSRP (from pricing sheets) multiplied by 0.93 + MACO fee $500.00 (flat rate applied to all dealers) = Base vehicle US BMW invoice price

To figure the invoice price of your BMW as configured add - + Option and packages (anything you can add to the vehicle) multiplied by 0.92 + Training fee of $180.00 + Destination and handling charge - Currently $995 = Total vehicle invoice price +/- $10.00)

That's for invoice, which is what everyone expects now in days, at least if they visit these forums. Dealer cost is calculated by taking the 5% holdback (calculated on MSRP) and subtracting that from the invoice calculated from the above. Most dealers won't dip into that 5% completely if at all because that 5% isn't something most dealers are able to collect from BMWNA; collecting the 5% is based on a bunch of key metrics and the dealer essentially needs to be a COE to collect the full amount. Again, I'm not 100% on the info in this particular post, it's just things I've read on this forum and another.

Ah, invoice calculation vs dealer cost calculation. Thanks for clarifying.

I'm week 31, which means completion of production between July 29 - Aug 4. Anybody know how many days it takes to build an X3? Trying to figure out when it will start production. I setup a script to check production status every couple hours and text my phone whenever status changes. Thinking I will start that running next week.

The production is pretty quick -- typically, just a few days -- but note that there is additional lead time between order placement and actual start of production. However, it's delivery that can take a long time. If you're on the US east coast, delivery can be "quick", like around another 1-1.5 weeks-ish. If you're on the west coast, well, it can take over another month.

That's about the best you can do, I believe. Would love for someone at a dealership to chime in at some point and confirm that. NH_F36 ?

After sifting through all sorts of lies while negotiating on a 2018, I would hopefully like to have my facts straight when I spit out evidence of what deals I know other people to be getting.

I could understand MAYBE on a 2019 SDriev that has already been out in the wild. BMWs have a 5% mark up so to take an additional 5% AND $2,500 on top of that seem a little too good to be true.

While it is possible to get 10% off with incentives on certain models this still seems a little too good to be true. Let's see proof!

I posted my proof a few posts back. That spreadsheet I posted is my exact deal.
