Awesome! Thanks for this info. I can't see that particular brand on Amazon UK, but I can see similar bags. Thanks again, much appreciated!

Looks like it's NLA now, but I got a tray insert for the center console. Use it more than I use the space below it LOL.

Haha, it's funny you mention it — when I first "turned it on" I thought the smell was too strong, but quickly enough it became barely noticeable)))

I'm going to get these next, I think.

BTW, this is your MacRumors buddy — I renamed my account)))

Same - it smelled OK for maybe the first day, then... nada! I'm looking at the box now, and there's a date on there: 'assembled' 16.2019, use by 16.2022. I got mine maybe late 2021 so... pffffft.... I guess they sold me some old stock lol.

Well, then a refill should do the trick for you! I should check the date on mine, I think I still have the box)))

i have the aliexpress carbon center console. I'm sure its not as good as the $900 version from IND, but it looks just as good as the photos on their page. The weave is in the same direction and the fit is great. There are some VERY slight imperfections in the weave, but you would never notice unless you are staring at it.

Best part is that it only takes 5 minutes to install.

Got mine from eBay, but it came from China in 12 days. Have not noticed any imperfections in mine, was $280+$16 in federal import tax. I would not pay $900 for the console piece, but at $280...all day long! Install was about as complex as opening the glovebox...simple.

I was very happy with mine. I did ceramic coat prior to installation just for added shine and protection.

The is where I bought from, it does heat up the phone but so does most of the OEM car wireless charger in my opinion. I found it perform just like others so no surprise there.

Thanks for the link.

Further research shows it's more difficult to install on an M. Looks like you have to remove the M spoiler and install a G spoiler, then the flow thru one. That adds another $400. What a pain.

I notice you have an LCI, and therefore the digital key. Does the charger interfere at all with the operation of the digital and/or phone key?

I don’t think it has the digital as the third party wireless charger wouldn’t fit as there would be a near field reader in its space. Not all LCI have digital key.

It actually turns out easier to install, as the spoiler comes in 2 parts, which means that you bond both parts in your home then leave it a few days whilst it sets and you can still drive your car.

Once ready, you swap out the spoiler. If you go for the single version of the spoiler then your car is out of action for 2-3 days whilst the adhesive bonding sets.

Thank you! I don't suppose you noticed a drop in your battery health? I've heard from a few people with original BMW chargers that the heat was too much and they stopped using them. I suppose this can function the same, not sure if that's a good thing though )
