Center Console/Shifter Trim in Aluminum Rhombicle

Sorry if this has already been covered...tried to search but did not find the exact answer I am looking for.

Like most people, I HATE the piano black trim around the center console/shifter in my 2021 M40i. I have seen some people post about getting a replacement piece/kit in carbon fiber, which might improve the situation...but I have the aluminum rhombicle trim in my X3. So my questions are:

1) Does anyone have this "mismatch" in trim pieces - carbon fiber/aluminum - in their X3? How does it look?

2) Does anyone know if they make this part in aluminum rhombicle trim? If so, can you provide the part number or link?

Looking into this for LCI model.
Does the part exist? Has anybody replaced their piano black trim on the shift plate with aluminum rhombicle?

Just for info, the part I ordered from BMW only came with a small panel of aluminum rhombicle right by the shifter. It did NOT replace all of the piano black, which was a bummer since it was not clear from the part info. I returned it and got an aftermarket CF trim piece that goes over the piano black and it looks pretty good.

I believe OP has a 21 so the trim piece won't fit a 22.

I’d love to find it for the ‘22 as well. I don’t think mixing the CF and AR would like good…IMO at least.

In the same situation: have a 22 with CF. Seen the LCI CF consoles and A/C vents inserts from the Bay, but very much on the fence as to CF quality and if it will contrast too much with the stock trim and look ricery. $-wise a no brainer if indeed it looks to be same kind, or very unnoticeable. Lol - we need volunteers here!!

The center piece looks cool but I'm unsure about the quality or the style of the weave and if it matches the OEM CF that comes in the car.

Someone on the facebook group actually installed the center console piece. I actually ordered on for my car as well. Should be here in a few weeks. Let me see if I can find the pic from Facebook. It looks very clean.

Not OEM but it beats the Piano Black crap.

It's a stick on, pretty good fit and match. Time will tell how long it last.

Honestly, that doesn't look bad at all. I went with Matte Carbon Fiber center trim to match the steering wheel trim I got. Someone on here did the same thing and it came out pretty good with the rest of the trims being Aluminum Rhombicle.
