2014 F25 X3 35i N55 MSport FBO modified and tuned (before and after dyno)
Starting a new thread for my new build.
Previous modifications when I bought the X3 new: BC Forged HB09 in brushed black on gloss black rim Front 20x9J ET+35 (mild concave) on 245/40R20 Pirelli P Zero non RFT Rear 20x10.5 ET+40 (deep concave) on 275/35R20 Pirelli P Zero non RFT Lowered 30mm front & rear with Eibach Pro Kit (Part #: 10-20-024-02-22) Supersprint catback exhaust Hartge ECU Hartge ECU accelerator booster Burger Motorsports intake Brembo GT Big Brake Kit for F25 X3 35i- 6 Piston Front 380mmx32mm 2 Piece. Drilled Rotors with Red Calipers Stoptech Drilled Sport Brake Rotor X3 F25 35i Rear EBC Brakes Redstuff Low Dust Ceramic Rear Brake Pads Carbon fiber print wrap on bonnet, roof and spoiler Old build thread here: https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=888184 The Hartge piggyback died and Hartge the Company went broke it seems. The X3 is not my daily driver and despite its age has a super low 10,000 km on the clock. I bought it new with all the options I wanted and decided its worth keeping and having some more fun. So I’ve embarked a new build: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tread Pure Stage 2 Turbo upgrade FTP Chargepipe and Boostpipe Ruff custom upgraded FMIC Ruff custom cat less downpipe Ruff custom oil cooler aFE Magnum Force Stage 2 cold intake Precision racewerks ignition coils Colder plugs for tuned engine Walbro LPFP upgrade (thank you to forum member Hardparker for the advice) KW DDC Plug and Play Coilovers with EDC BMW X3 F25 MHD Flasher custom tune Will be interesting to see what I get out of the N55 without internal mods. December update: Attached is the baseline dyno and dyno after parts but before tune. Check back in the new year for the next dyno run after the custom MHD tune is loaded. Beautiful brakes! I'd like to see logs of that intercooler in use. There are so many variations of that style, and they don't all perform equally. I'd bought a Phoenix and replaced it with a VRSF Race. The Phoenix was a turd, but the VRSF is magic.

the choices I had for fun, manual spacious cars, awd , were: - volvo v70 R (last built in 2007 , too old) - bmw 328 xi e91 wagon ( try to find one, good luck I ve searched for a year) - Audi A4 avant (ends 2008, took me 2 years to find one, I own one as a DD, I'm happy). - Cayenne (rare as f, try to find one in good shape and low mileage, good luck) I ended up with a m pack, blue on chessnut brown, low mileage, n55, X3. This car has everything that I want but the manual transmission (awd, powerful, somewhat reliable). with cash, a lot of it, I believe its possible, since the 335 had the x-drive 6 speed transmission. |

Intercooler requires custom brackets on almost every install that has been done on this forum, but otherwise most F30 ICs will fit.

Added a pic above of KW coilovers which just arrived. Will be fitting everything at the end of the month. Will post more pics and a dyno once the tune is sorted.

Yes, stock tune with all the bolt on parts. Got a chance to drive it a bit more today. Even with stock tune it feels a LOT more responsive then when I had the Hartge running. Mind you I've been driving my Tesla X for the last few months and so it good just be my perception. Also the exhaust, turbo and intake sound is incredible. Really adds to the experience. Pity the driver when the world goes full electric.
