Just wondering, if I use the bimmercode app to code a few things on my X3, then say it has to go to the dealer for some warranty update or something and they had to reprogram the car. I imagine all coding changes I made would be returned to stock.
Would I be able to use the bimmercode app again to change the previous changes I made to the car? Or will that require another purchase to unlock the code again? Thanks.
Once coding is unlocked, you don't need to purchase it again. Just sign into your apple/google account and unlock coding if you need to re-download it again on another device or if you restore your device. They only time you will need to repurchase is if you move from iOS to Android or vice verser.

[QUOTE=IXVXI;23970255][QUOTE=BobsM3Coupe;23969720]Good to hear.

I finally received the Veepeak obd reader and unlocked the coding on my S9+.

For some reason, I can't get the phone to see the reader. It says it's paired, but doesn't show it's actually connected. The blue light is on for the reader. Engine is off. I pressed the start button 3 times quickly.
What am I missing?

Where is the coupn code?
It's under settings in the FAQ section of recommended adapters, I've posted a screen shot, took around a week to get to me here in UK from US

Question re # of code changes made in a single shot...do you guys make multiple changes at once, then "code"? Or do you make 1 change, code, then another change etc?

Finally, after you code a change it obviously creates some sort of restore point. If I make a 2nd code change, does the 1st code change save, get over written with the 2nd code change and so on?

Hope that makes sense...

I tend to do one change at a time and code it, it's quite fast to do although probably not totally necessary

It saves a new backup every time and keeps the old ones as well, I've backed these up to computer in case of any issues with phone

Got it, thanks. One other question, where on the mobile are the backups stored? Is there a bimmercode folder, presumably?

I'm not entirely sure where they are on phone, it doesn't appear in files app, I have a iPhone and when connected to computer you can see the backup file folder through iTunes which can then be saved

Tried coding my X4 today for in motion video and closing the tailgate with the remote. Have the OBDlink adapter and latest Bimmercode app for Android. Coding said it took but I see no changes and nothing works that I coded. Any ideas? I reset the car and waited about 30 minutes and still no changes...

Duh...Don't know how I missed it, but found the instructions on how to copy over to the PC. They're built-in to the app within the FAQ section...(Android & iOS instructions)

Using BimmerCode to allow closing the tailgate with the remote. Now when I long press and keep pressing the tailgate will close. Is there a way to make it go down with two presses rather than a long hold?

I was able to successfully have the ASS default to the last chosen setting (off), and was able to reduce the loud “beep” confirming locking and unlocking car. Is there a way to turn off the red LED that blinks when the alarm system is activated? Is there a way to lock without turning on the anti-theft alarm?

If you've already got the bimmercode app, check the settings within the app. From there, there's a link of everything that can be coded for the G01

The app lacks detail on what each of the options do, even in 'simple mode'. I need the cheat sheet for expert mode.

I am trying to unlock enhanced bluetooth and a few other items.

Thanks.

Enhanced Bluetooth is a hardware upgrade, it adds an antenna like this one:

One of the simplest and most liked coding features I've used on all my BMWs is: "auto windows-up, even with the doors open." By default BMW stops the window once you open the door and you have to long-click the darn switch again. Can Bimmercode do this? And I've been trying to figure out what the "purchase of $26.99" is for. Does it give me that many more features? I only have 1 BMW so not planning to code several cars.

Not unless you can code BDC.

I was able to code this yesterday. My goal was to have texts and emails displayed on the idrive screen. Mission accomplished

I paid $34.99, plus another $30 for the OBD2 adapter.

Still worth it, much easier to use than the laptop and cable.
