2011 X3 Map Upgrade Issue
Hey everyone-
I currently purchased a new to me BMW. I upgraded the Media and Telephone systems, but when I try to upgrade the Map (CIC- North America, Professional, 2019.1), the car is showing me a warning message, stating that the map file in my vehicle is corrupt and that I need to take it to a service center in order to get my maps up to date. I have searched on here, but have not found any resolutions. Since the map version is 2011- is it possibly too old to update to 2019 straight away? I.e.- do I have to update to say 2014, and then to 2019? Is the file on my USB possibly corrupt? Any insights would be fantastic. Thanks in advance. |

You should not have to update to any maps in between 2011 and 2019. You don't say where you got your usb from. Whether you bought one loaded already or downloaded files yourself. My first guess would be the files on the usb. If you bought it from a vendor, tell them exactly what the message says and when it appears.
