Trying to get my map in to update

I ordered a 2023 map and got the USB today. I plugged it in and the menu popped up asking if I wanted to install the update. When I click on the start update button, it just grays out and pauses in that screen for a minute then disappears. It never actually installs the map. Anyone had this problem? Or any suggestions?

Does it asks for your FSC code? Or did you already use a lifetime FSC the last time you updated the maps? You don’t mention which version you have…did you order the correct map version for the nav system you have? Some BMW models have two USB ports…do you have one or two…and if you have two USB ports…are you using the correct one for map updates (info is in your owners manual)?

You may need to contact the vendor that sold you the thumb drive (if you purchased 3rd party).
