Any form of antidazzle lights on the x3m?
I had an f80 M3 with antidazzle lights coded and it was amazing. I was planning on grabbing an x3m some time over the next 8 months. Is this something that's possible with the x3m?
I havent seen anything about the lights at all, and very very little about coding for them.

I'm sure it's possible. On full options sheet you can see code where they deleted it for US markets just like they did on F80's. I would assume process is similar to F80, but not much info on esys coding out there yet for F97's.
I had it on my F80 as well, and it was pretty damn cool. |

I have coded on my X3MC.
It works the same as any other cars that I've coded. I use E-sys btw.

I'm assuming that means antidazzle too? Are the lights the same as what's on the f80s?

E-sys is BMW software.
Then you'll need Psdzdata files, Ethernet to OBD2 cable. Then VO code. It is not an easy coding like BimmerCode, choose and tap. I can email you the link of the softwares and hardwares. Step wise, I have them memorized, lol. But, Google is your friend to find step by step on how to do it.

I am not 100% sure how much difference between US headlamp and European one. But from what I experienced on my F15 / F06 to my G30 / F97, they are about the same. Keep in mind, I live in LA, so the only time I can test and see it fully functional when I go out of town.

Congrats. Yes, whatever we have is good enough. Better than nothing or spending thousands to do Euro headlight conversion.

Anyone know if the F97 headlights have the special shutters that allow for the anti-dazzle to function properly, i.e. NOT create glare for oncoming drivers? I know that they pulled the active shutters on 2017+ F30s so even though the "anti-dazzle" coding would work, you would still blind oncoming drivers due to the lack of the active shutters in the headlight modules themselves.

As of right now, I'm unable to find more than 1 part number for each headlight module for the F97 (looks the same as the G01) so hopefully that means that there aren't different parts for US and non-US models. If there is only 1 part number for each headlight module, then we have the shutters in ours and anti-dazzle should work correctly.

Works pretty well on my F98, I can see the tunnel forming and moving around and don't get flashed by other drivers.
I don't think it works as well as as some of the videos I see out of europe, maybe it's just me or maybe the hardware is different between regions. |
