And also for the enthusiast planning on order an M don't settle for less because the M steering is much better than the non one. I know for a fact that this is will be a turn off for me.

Here in Germany it can be ordered as a standalone option on any X3 model. Test drove a X3 20d without M sport package but it had the M sport steering wheel.

I just built the new USA version X2 online. It comes with an M steering wheel. We simply need to buy a lesser model to get a better steering wheel. Go figure.

The X2 M-sport wheel is different (older) than what should come on the G01.

Here in the Netherlands is only possible to order the M-Sport steering wheel if you order de M-Sport package.

Welcome aboard!

To post a picture, click on "Manage Attachments" in the "Attach Files" section below the main message area (even below the "Submit Reply" buttton). You will then get a dialog box where you can choose a file(s) from your computer. This will put it into a queue to be uploaded to the website once you then hit the "Upload" button at the bottom right hand corner. I often have to first compress the pictures with another app so they aren't too large for the web size limit. Microsoft Office Picture Manager is one way to do this, by selecting "Picture" and then "Compress Picture" from the tool bar after the file is opened there. I then use the Documents selection to compress a 5 MB file down to within the limit.

I don't have MS Office. Any other photo compressing apps are appreciated.

You shouldn’t have to compress pictures. You may have to resize them to fit into the sites size limit.

If you’re using Windows there’s a nice utility that allows you to right click a photo and resize it:

http://www.bricelam.net/ImageResizer/

If you’re on a Mac the built in “preview” app allows resize.

All this said, I have noticed occasions where the site still doesn’t allow uploads during certain times, not sure if they’re maintenance periods or out of space or something else.

All else fails you can just go to imgur.com, drag tour photo into the screen, grab the share URL and paste it here.

Thanks for the link. I tried using it but this site still doesn't let the photo show. Time for the admin to pay the server bill.

Every time I drive it seems smaller (the grip) and bugs me more (the stated "leather sport steeling wheel" on my sticker)

That is why if I was going to order a 2018 X3 I would wait until they have the correct steering wheel. Who wants a first year model anyway.

Got mine with M-Sport heated steering and found no bugs while driving. Well done!

I think the worst part of the sport wheel in the US is at 12 o'clock. It's a bit too thin.

After driving today I'd agree. The wheel we are getting feels thin.

It's funny! With my L (22.5 cm) palm size wheel feels very comfortable! Vise versa, my better half complains(?!) - the grip is too thick!

If you're in Russia, you probably have the 710 Msport wheel, which is what everyone wants...

Is it only me but I find the non M steering wheel not too bad? Here they call it option 255 sport steering wheel. Just got an email telling me that I wouldn't get the option 710 m-spot steering wheel...

I find that the regular sport wheel looks more refined even if it's a little thinner.

The M sport wheel looks better. I will say that but honestly the normal wheel is fine.

As far as the grip thickness. It is a tad thin at the top but some of the latest M-Sport wheels have been over done. Too bulky. Too thick.
