Wow, beautifully done OP. I am considering the same color myself and was wondering how things would look if some of these same changes were made - looks amazing.

I have a 2019 BMW X3 M40i that I custom ordered and picked up in April 2019. It is pretty well optioned, is Phytonic Blue with Cognac interior. It has the 21" wheels. I love the vehicle, the colors and the Cerium trim and wheels. They make a perfect combination. The only thing that I have changed is the installation of Bavsound Step One Speaker Kit and Bavsound Ghost Underseat Subwoofers. Actually they were all installed for me by Bavarian Workshop, I have the HK sound system. I also added the cable to eliminate the fake exhaust sound in the interior and pulled Fuse 203.

I have only about 4,500 miles on my vehicle, but I enjoy every minute I am in it.

All those people who are adding to, modifying and otherwise changing the vehicle that you purchased or are leasing make interesting reading. I am completely satisfied with my X3 as it is. It is my 4th BMW, including a motorcycle back in the 1980s.

Thank you very much Mario! My 2018 xdrive30i is in Glacier Silver and I love the color, especially after a detail! The paint always looks super glossy. Would love to see some CF goodies on your X4!

Congratulations on your X3! I've heard nothing but positive reviews on the Bravsound upgrade. I plan on doing the upgrade at some point. I've been modifying since the age of 13. My brother and I would do things to his maxima at that time. I've modified all of my vehicles since. To me, it's my way of making it the way I want and being different from the rest. This is an enthusiast site, more than likely members here will modify their vehicles. It's perfectly fine to keep it stock.

Thank you brotha! I thought about it, but in NJ, it's an easy ticket. I don't miss being pulled over in my wife's previous vehicle and getting a ticket nearly once a month.

I have had my time modifying my vehicles. Starting with my first car, a 1947 Pontiac. I made minor modifications to the front grill and painted the exterior, not as well as I had imagined! I was 16.

My next modifications were to a 1968 Jaguar XKE 4.2L 2+2. The stock exhaust rusted out. I replaced it with an Abarth Exhaust system, which was awesome. My car could be heard blocks away! I then replaced the intake manifold and two Zenith Stromberg carbs with a triple Weber carbs. I loved the sound of the intake. Sadly, after 3 years the clutch gave out. Replacement was way more than I could afford at the time. I traded it for a new MGB, one of the big mistakes of my life.

In 1990, I bought a 1972 Porsche 911T Targa. I replaced the mechanical fuel injection system with twin Webers. Not long after this I had the engine rebuilt by an incredible Porsche mechanic in Santa Barbara. He bumped the displacement from stock 2.4L to 2.7L. He invited me to watch him dismantle the engine piece by piece. The day he first started the rebuilt engine he called me so that I could listen to the engine. It was amazing.

Other than suspension and exhaust changes on a 2004 Porsche 993, I have pretty much refrained from modifications on my vehicles.

Enjoy your mods, guys!

Picked up the M40i from Detailers Domain who did a proper paint correction an Nanolex si3d HD ceramic coating. While my wife had her SLR with her, we stopped for coffee and did a photo shoot with both of our X3's. Big thank you again to Kevin and Phil at detailers domain for the fantastic work!

CONGRATULATIONS!

The mirror caps are held on by plastic clips. You gently pry them and they come off. No screws. I'm surprised the dealership said that to you... Well, maybe not surprised. The service advisors aren't technicians, so they often provide wrong information.

[QUOTE=Toodalu;26280248]Beautiful Sunday for a photoshoot! Installed Maxton X4 side skirt diffusers today. They complete the exterior look.

Are the side skirts black or carbon?

Ordered same grills ! Connection between front lip and grills with carbon combination gives more better look definitely. A specially when u see before and after at same angles.
Couldn’t refuse it ! Lol
Some people maybe don’t see it but carbon grills actually gives much more better complete and expensive look with our front lip. Besides that is making grills visually little bit smaller than full black’s. Which is making everything even more proportional (at the front) and properly done.
