also I expect about 400 to 500 miles of drive per month .

After getting battery replaced, I would like to place the CTEK smart charger access by using the comfort connector (with the eyelet endings instead of the clamp endings) in engine Bay area

the POS and NEG terminals for Jump Strt do not have any threads to bolt in these eyelets of the connector ?

what options do I have to bolt and these terminals ( it does have a start shaped recess in the termimals) shown in the pic below

If anyone can confirm that the bimmerlink app with a particular adaptor for the OBD r port works for the F25 (2014 X3 28i) version vehicle.

PL advise on the verified working oBD adaptor on F25 platform that works with Bimmerlink app
The bimmerlink web site has a list of supported OBD adapters.
A few years ago, I bought a Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ interface for <$35 and have successfully used it with bimmerlink/bimmercode as well as several other apps, though I typically use a laptop > ethernet OBD II cable with ista+ and e-sys for most work.
There's no risk plugging in a compatible OBD interface to the port.

Yes Sir.

Per the advice received,
1. I have installed the Veepeak adaptor BTE and
2. Bimmerlink paid version
3. Hooked up the Positive terminal on BATT (Power Distribution Box)
4. Hooked up the Negative terminal on BATT

Checked voltage ...across terminals (before hooking up connections) 12.99V

Bimmerlink app showed battery state of charge at 99% at Key ON Engine oFF
Dash and screen showed Increased Batt discharge message

5. Push Engine Start and it started normal.

downloaded the error memory from bimmerlink app...

NO permanent Error stored and all modules showed green

I did see temporary errors stored for 70+ errors. Hopefully shud not be a corcern.

The weather was lousy the last two days. So, let the charger be on the batt for two day and CTEK MXS5.0 rocks & ...then ---checked out today

Ran engine at IDLE for 5 minutes and after the first crank Batt SoC dropped to 81%

As advised, I will get the new Batt now

BMW dealer mentioned 239$ price for the same 105 Ah batt. Will complete the battery swap this week. I do not trust this old battery anymore given its age.

Appreciate all your inputs

I use my old battery around the farm to jump start numerous things. Best $10 core charge I never returned. 13 years old and still going strong….
