Sunroof controls coding help

After my dome light controls broke I swapped out my F25 2016 X3. The new one works great except the sunroof won't work anymore. I hooked up a ODB reader and it found that the Sunroof needs to be coded.

DME codes 801A07 and 801A02

2 roof control codes
  • Coding data control unit is not coded
  • Coding data control is not coded for the vehicle in which it is fitted.

So I put the original dome light control back and it still wouldn't work. So it seems like I need to code the new dome light controls

I tried all of the roof resetting methods on youtube, it just wouldn't respond I guess because the part is a different unit and needs to be coded in.

Anyone here has any info or experience with coding a dome roof control unit? Any help appreciated.

Connect the coding interface to your car's OBD port and your computer or smartphone.

Launch the coding software and select your car model and the FZD module.

Read the FZD module data and save a backup copy of it.

Modify the FZD module data according to your needs and preferences. You may need to change the VIN, the VO (vehicle order), the FA (factory order), or the FSW_PSW.TRC (trace file) values.

Write the modified FZD module data back to the car and confirm the changes.

Restart the car and test the sunroof function.
