If it's anything like the B58 port injection plate it basically sandwiches between your intake manifold and the head. It has 6 injectors that add extra fueling for tuned applications.

This - I’m surprised to hear someone did this for the s58 on the new M3 platform.
There are quite a few builds pushing around 670whp on the stock fueling with s58. That said it might max out around there, haven't seen injector duty cycle percentages, granted I haven't really been looking for them. If and when someone goes with a pure turbo upgrade or single conversion I could see more fuel being necessary.

There's been port injection available for the s58 f97/8 for a year. That's probably what they used on the m3 in the recent video. He said since he can't do a full tune it was the best way(only way) to get more fuel to the engine while using the jb4. For our cars, the 2020s at least you can get full tunes so they can see bigger numbers easier for now and without port injection.

Thanks for clarifying! I have a 2021 x3m with a race chip. I need more power, lol.

The main problem is not the power gain, u need proper gearbox reinforcement, otherwise car it will not live long.

700hp is optimal power for x3m imho, u don't need more (if it's daily car)
