Port injectors for the X3M
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Saw a video of an The new M3 with port injectors E85 making 670 whp?? Since we have the same engine im wondering if anyone knows anything about it and or if it would work on our cars? |

If it's anything like the B58 port injection plate it basically sandwiches between your intake manifold and the head. It has 6 injectors that add extra fueling for tuned applications.

That said it might max out around there, haven't seen injector duty cycle percentages, granted I haven't really been looking for them. If and when someone goes with a pure turbo upgrade or single conversion I could see more fuel being necessary. |

There's been port injection available for the s58 f97/8 for a year. That's probably what they used on the m3 in the recent video. He said since he can't do a full tune it was the best way(only way) to get more fuel to the engine while using the jb4. For our cars, the 2020s at least you can get full tunes so they can see bigger numbers easier for now and without port injection.
