Nice build, I'm jealous that I put my order in last month and my car won't be built until October. Guess when you purchase through the military sales you don't get a priority slot. I really like the blue exterior with cognac interior, really nice choice.

First world problems Having to wait until oct/nov for my x3 M40i has given me plenty of time to research audio and others modifications I'd like to do as soon as I get the car.

^ Great minds think alike! Really on the fence about the trailer hitch but ultimately decided against it. The wife has a Mercedes SUV that has a trailer hitch though we never use it for anything.

Sales guy just back to me, week 36 production (last week of Aug) so hopefully mid-Sept delivery.

If you don't use the hitch, it makes sense to not get it. I use it mainly for hauling a couple of mountain bikes.

Need to check on the production week.

That's why we got it on the wife's SUV but all of our biking has remained local... plus no mountains here in NOLA!!

Btw my understanding is that build week is actually the week when the production is estimated to end. So it should go to production 1-2 weeks before that week. Unless I'm getting this wrong.

I think that’s right but it was 10 years ago when I ordered the M3. If completed last week of August that’s where I was thinking two weeks or so to be shipped to Nola.

You are correct. My 2021 has week 33 build and dealer called yesterday to say it was there. I had been told 8/13-8/15.

For the military program you get a standard 10% off MSRP which is awesome but you can't finance through BMW. Gotta find your own loan/financing.

I got 11% off MSRP on 2021 X3 30i. Picked up today. Ordered on 7/24. Arrived Tues 8/11.

Yes, the wait is painful... had that when I ordered my M3 back in 2010. I can vividly recall tracking the ship all the way across the Atlantic!
