BMW Interior Quality
BMW quality get worse and worse.
Dealer said, they wont fix issues that appear when touching on surfaces... what a shame. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03_rybfHbCU |

They should have kept the production of real BMW's in Germany

I notice it too, it is worse then my old E90
It is bad compare tomMB, Audi, Lexus. Look at the grove compartment, and the small storage space under the head light control. The quality is really bad. It doesn't open / close smoothly. It is like the Pontiac from 90s quality.

I wonder if the quality is just inconsistent? I have a 2019 and no issues at all with material quality or fit and finish. The styling might seem a little plain or familiar to some though

Here comes the catch - mines from SA and no issues so far (7 months). So... : Bad luck? Friday builds? Monday builds? Builds from 13th?

Having looked at the G01 vs F25, I thought it had improved quite a bit. What kind of issues have you had, if you don't mind me asking. |

My car has alot of squeaks in the interior while going over bumps when the climate is hot and dry. When it is cold and wet the interior is completly silent. The squeaks occur mostly after i get in the car and the AC starts to cool the interior, i think it is caused by plastic trim that starts shrinking when the interior is cooling. After driving like 30 minutes the silence returns.
Does anyone else has noticed this and does anyone have any tips how this squaks can be eliminated? |

Mine is from SC and I'm very happy so far with the fit and finish. It's NOT an X5 or X7 so there's that - but I have the Cognac w/ Matte Cove trim and have about 6K miles on it so far. No rattles or shakes. The rear quarter panel speaker is faulty but that's a separate issue

When I picked up the car there were bits of boot trim that didn't fit, broken catches, the gesture control doesn't work (as in, at all, not just that it's a bit rubbish and a gimmick) rattles in the cup holder area, the leather on the steering wheel is poorly wrapped and stitched, and the latest is that the arm rest now squeaks when I rest my arm on it while driving. And this is on a car less than 6k miles on the clock and 3 months old. On top of that, some of the design flaws are shocking - like the poor guttering on the boot lid, so when it's wet and you raise the boot lid water pours into the boot. It'll most likely be my first and last BMW SUV. Now the 3 Estate has been launched I'll move to that in a couple of years time when it's time to trade this car in. |
