Good luck in Portland, both the dealers here are not willing to go much below 12% including incentives. I found BMW of Salem to be a little bit more willing to negotiate, however, their inventory is sparse. Maybe they can do a dealer trade for you.

Dave P. at BMW Portland came through for me. This makes me a repeat customer there and will pick up this weekend. As I experience in the car buying battle every 2-3 years, Seattle dealerships do not play ball although I always give them the opportunity. A 3 hr drive or 1 hr flight south ain't so bad.

Details:

2020 X3M Competition
MSRP $79,985
Discount 10%
Rebate $4500 (lease and loyalty for region)
Selling price $67,486
Lease 36/12, base MF 0.00118, acquisition bundled in
$792/mo before 10% tax
Zero down drive off $2300 includes first month, $115 dealer fee, and taxes/reg/license.

This is a good deal for this region. It's not my ideal build but it is lower MSRP than what I would order so that's nice. I'm compromising because 2020s are limited on the ground now and 2021s not available until late May at earliest and very likely difficult availability. Can't expect that there will be decent rebates or discounts on an ordered and limited 2021.

Glad you were able to get something you wanted. I am closing on a Non-Comp this week and hopefully will come Friday. Couldn't find anything locally, so it is coming from the east coast.

i've been speaking to a dealer about a x3mc that's on the lot.

black/black, basically fully loaded.

msrp 84xxx
discounts with loyalty 73xxx

still not satisfied with the pricing as i have expressed this is not the price that would allow me to consider it a deal. i know there is room to negotiate.

i was told someone would contact me in the next couple of days to work out the deal to get something done. sounds like the pricing should come down lower.

i'm in no rush for a vehicle but open to their offers. looks like this is about 13% but i'm confident it should be 15% as the vehicles are sitting and collecting dust.

i am wondering about the new i drive update, carbon strut, etc on 2021 my. again, no rush i'm pulling the trigger but wouldn't mind holding off another 4-6 weeks to see what's coming out.

who knows with covid-19 and production delays but it would be nice to see may numbers, incentives, eagerness of dealers to rid their stock, bmw kickbacks and all before getting this done.

You're right, that's only around 7% to 7.5% off before incentives. I called 5 dealers the day before my state went into lock down on vehicles that have been on their lots for at least 4 months and the best any of them would do was 4% to 4.5%. It's like...OK.

You could call around in a market area that is doing 10% off before incentives, have it shipped to you and you'd still be $50 to $80 a month less than the payment on that vehicle you listed. You could also look back through this thread a little bit and find one of those areas based off what people have posted. Then get one of those dealers to quote on one of their x3mc in the 84k range and show that to your local dealer.

I read a lot of posts with people still struggling to get deals at their local dealers. I guess it really depends on the geographic market.

I'd be glad to work out a deal for anyone using my local contacts at 2 of the local dealers. It's taken me several decades worth of purchases from them to establish this great relationship, and if anyone is looking now I can assist with 11% plus any incentives. I believe they can deliver in FL. Anything out of state, buyer will have to pay cost of shipping. No MF markup. Granted this is FL and all dealers here charge between 600-1000 doc fee. I believe my best relationship dealer charges $799 and $98 private tag agency.

Such a great car. We've had ours for a week or so now and I'm glad to be back after selling our M40i last summer.

Here is some of the in stock inventory I think I can get them to work on. Hope this helps. Weird to hear that dealers are still pushing for 4-6% off. PM me for more details.

2020 X3M Comp
$82,XXX Black Saph/Blk/Congac
$82,XXX Black Saph/Blk/Congac
$84,XXX Black Saph/Blk

2020 X3M
$78,XXX Don Gray/Blk
$80,545 Don Gray/Blk

2020 X4M
$82,XXX Toronto Red/Blk

If you read above, evidently 11% + incentives (which is a great deal) isn't enough for some people here.

For some reason people think dealers should be going 15% off pre-incentive on a new M car.

I love lease hacking just as much as the next guy, but this isn't a funny colored 3 series, it's a fairly popular SUV, they sell slowly, but they do sell.

Yea, I agree. I can't help those that want the near 15% pre-incentives. My advice for them is that it can be done, but it will take a lot of work and effort to get a dealer that is both willing and that realizes you are a ready to go buyer.

Just trying to help out the few that still have no luck getting into the double digit discounts.

I visited a friend in Seattle once and he and I went shopping for an E70 diesel (last model year). I had just purchased one a week prior, and I was amazed at how hard it was to negotiate BMW of Seattle down. I guess the Northwest is one of those tougher markets.

84xxx msrp down to 70xxx.

don't need to work too hard. dealers are 60-70% shutdown from staff and faculty and have 500-800k of the same cars on the lot.

i'm sure they want some money back during this covid19 era where very few are spending this much on a vehicle.

2021s coming soon too. time to move the dust out off the lot.

That's the same deal I got in February and they had more cars then than they do now.

The only thing bmw is offering more than before is deferred payments.

You make it sound to easy. We all know dealers aren't easy to work with unless you have some type of connect or referral, but even then. I had to work my tail off for 13% off pre incentive. Worked with 10 dealers in the north east until I got my deal. This is possible, but let's not send the wrong message here and say it's a cake walk to get to +10% off pre-incentive.

Audi was recently giving away 2019 a4/s4/5. I had a deal on the table for 19.3% off. I just couldn't make the switch.

Now if they could only make cars with BMW performance/drivability combined with Audi interior fit/finish we would have a winner.

Just kidding, but not really.

Yup. I really liked a lot of things about my SQ5 but the X3M is twice the car compared to the Audi. You couldn't pay me to go back.

I had an SQ5 for almost 3 years, it was fun, but not enough power. Still hoping to pickup an X3M once the economic uncertainty is back to some sort of normal. But until then, I still have the M4.

I want an Audi RS7 with the M5 drivetrain. Where can I get it? But seriously, if we could combine Audis and BMWs = perfect cars!
