It's shipped but may not be here for another month. I have the OEM trailer hitch. My game plan is to see how it fits without cutting anything. I'll end up having to cut the center, only if it clears the fin design. As for the trailer electrical connection, I may end up fabricating something to mount it underneath. If I can't do anything with the diffuser, ill sell it and just carbon fiber hydro dip the stock OEM trailer hitch difuser instead.

I thought I'd update the OP and make this a more general bodykit/spoilers based thread where we can discuss and share different body mods appearing on the market.

Here are some better pics of one of the Diffusers above and a spoiler both available from various eBay sellers in China, a couple of us have already ordered the diffuser (in gloss black) and awaiting delivery:

The Schnitzer style corner splitters look great. But I would opt for it in the same colour as the car

I can accept accessory/custom parts which are parts manufactured by the original manufacturer for that particular vehicle, or parts they they approve by third party manufacturers. BMW used to recommend AC Schnitzer parts and sell them from dealerships. I think the only reason that they no longer do is because they’ve realised there’s a market for producing their own parts, although I think that they’d do well if they produced a bigger range of M Performance parts/accessories for people like us to personalise our cars tastefully.

So far, I’ve put black grilles (OEM) on mine.
Unfortunately BMW and ACS don’t make a diffuser for the X3, if they did and there was subsequently a replica of it then I’d buy one.

If the stock one was gloss black then I’d be happy enough with it, but I just can’t understand why they paint it that grey colour that doesn’t match any of the other trim! Imo that is a stranger design than these aftermarket diffusers!
Agreed! Hate that grey diffuser

Thank you! I think it's really a must for Dark Graphite/Sophisto Gray folks, as otherwise the gray diffuser really blends in. I actually didn't have it painted, I had a local vinyl/tint shop that tinted my windows and wrapped my mirrors, boomerangs and side grilles, wrap the diffuser section as well.

Hi Chicagofan00, have you fitted this yet? Does it have the same issues as the ones previously mentioned in this form (parking sensor issues)?

Thanks,
Josh

Yes, I was one of the first few on the forums to install this and it does have the parking sensor issues. No clue if they have fixed the fitment at all but my assumption would be they haven't.

Doesn't hurt to give it a try though. Someone in this thread also fixed the fitment issue and the parking sensors no longer been incessantly for them from what I understand.

So the diffuser I originally ordered was held up in customs and returned to the seller. I received a refund from the company. I ended up ordering from IND-Distribution the 3D Design carbon fiber rear diffuser. I will be modifying the diffuser to fit over the oem trailer hitch. More than likely will need to be cut. Should have it by 2-3 weeks.

Which diffuser did you originally order? You may be the first one here to install the 3D one. I'm curious to see how it works out with the hitch, but also could you let us know how it affects your sensors?

Looking forward for seeing the photos of the 3D design one.

I ordered a "Fake" carbon fiber version of the one most have here. https://www.amazon.com/MCARCAR-KIT-D.../dp/B07QB7GS1G I wasn't too thrilled on dealing with the parking sensor and fitment issues. It wasn't a lot of money to be the 1st to cut into it and test it over the OEM trailer hitch. Now, I must make sure 1000000% before cutting into carbon fiber. The 3D Design rear diffuser is 100% with fit and finish. There is someone in Japan that has it and swears there are zero issues with the parking sensors. When I asked IND, I would technically be the 2nd person to order one, I have yet to see anyone in the states with it.. So I'm pretty sure I'm the 1st to have it in the states.

Same here! I've seen a few photos on the facebook G01 group, and it really looks fantastic! I'd hate to cut into it, but it MAY just clear the trailer hitch without the hitch black center cover on. The diffuser bumps out a bit compared to the stock one.

I like that diffuser. As you know I ordered my front splitter from there. The quality of the splitter is brilliant, so hope the diffuser is the same.

Let us know how you get in fitting it and if you have similar challenges with the parking sensors that people have had with rear diffusers. I think I am going to order it too in a month or so.
