Unhappy Jump started car incorrectly now car won't start

Hi all,
Please could someone assist. We incorrectly jump started from BMW X3 F25 using the blue marked "thingy" on the attachment as the negative pole. The BMW X3 died and now does not want to start. Does anyone know what this blue marked "thingy" is for?

If it is a fuse or relay that was blown, how do I go about identifying which it is?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

That's a big mistake. Probably ruined the power management module. You will need to take it to the dealer. Tell them exactly what happened so they can diagnose it.

I'm not expert and might be missing something on the picture I cannot enlarge - but negative on the blue marked thingy? Which has a RED indicator?

That's correct. Traced the wire and it goes into the "computer box".

I think we did. From all electronics being on when pushing start/stop button, the car is now dead except for the alarm that continually goes off. Taken black lead off of battery in boot to at least have some peace.

You probably fried the fuses on the battery in the back. Not to mention any other electronics. Like I said, the dealer is the only one who can help you. The jump start was not performed correctly.
