Wind/Air Leaking Noise Passenger Side X3

Hi All,

Since taking delivery of my X3M a few weeks back, I've been irritated by an air leaking noise that comes about only over speeds 50mph+. Its a loud, whistling, irritating noise, even with some music on it still can be heard.

I've narrowed it down to somewhere in the passenger door/windshield area.

I do not want to give it to the dealer for them to spend 2 weeks and hours of driving it, if someone on the forum has already found a solution for this.

Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks!!

I think your best option is letting the dealer take care of it. They won't need it for two weeks if they can duplicate it on every drive. It may just be the A pillar trims on the outer side of the windshield. Or perhaps a window guide seal sticking out too far and catching the wind. Grab some scotch tape and start taping up edges until the noise goes away. Don't forget the mirror and turn signal on the mirror housing.

A couple of people on X5 forums had similar issues and they rolled down and up their windows 4or 5 times to fix. They thought the window was not going all the way up or not sealing properly in window seal. Doesn't hurt to try.
