Cool '19 X3 M40i - Glacier Silver on Fiona Red, Ultimate Package

Got a few new lenses and filters and thought I'd try them out. The family hauler happened to be clean so I snapped some pics. It's a 2019 X3 M40i, Glacier Silver metallic on Fiona Red Individual Merino leather, Piano Black trim, and Ultimate Package.

Hope you guys enjoy the photos!

Looks fantastic. Pissed we can't get the Fiona Red interior here in the US. I'd have definitely gone for it if we did.

I’ve never been a fan of silver on any car, however, yours is CLEAN! Love the red, miss my coral red I had in my 1er.
Quick question, did you just happen to snap a picture with the active grilles randomly open or did you do something to make them stay in the open config?

From what I've noticed, they open at idle after starting and/or in Sport/Sport+ mode at idle.

Really nice color combo. I also like the instrument panel on yours way more than the 2020's (just had one as a loaner a couple of weeks ago).

Yeah it blows my mind US buyers can't even spec Merino leather interiors on these!

It's the only silver I like, too. Much better than my old Titanium Silver E46. Glacier has a lot of white tones in the paint that makes it seem like it's constantly shimmering. The car was actually running when I took the pics

Lovely. My wife has the previous generation X3 in silver and it always looks good!

How do you like the all season mats - thinking of getting a set.

To show off that nice shine on the trim piece. Why leave the protector on? Lol. It's like buying a phone and leaving the cheap plastic covering on the screen. Or buying a couch and never taking it out of the wrapping lol.

meh looks fine to me, plus it blends well with my pythonic blue. I would understand if I had to stare at it like a screen, but since it's sitting on a place that has much higher chance of getting scratched when stepping on it, I just left it there. Not bothering anyone

Good eye! The dealer completely forgot to remove those. It's sitting at 3k miles right now and not driven much, we hadn't realized it shouldn't be blue

They're good for ease of cleaning but I would not use them during winter months. We have a set of Weathertech floor liners for the snow season and they do a much better job

Lol! You can always get it covered in paint protection film to prevent scratches

Sharp vehicle. I may have to go to Canada to buy mine as I plan to downsize to an X3 when the lease on our X5 is up. Maybe BMWNA will offer the red interior in 2021 or 2022.

Dude if you can buy your X3 in Canada, do it! You will also come out ahead financially given exchange rate, unless bmw adjusts as well.

But won't it then be in kilometers, etc.?

You can switch units of measure on iDrive.

If you drive up to Canada, you can put it on kms and iDrive will readjust for you. Even speed limit will be read correctly. Then when you drive back in the States, can switch back to miles etc.

You can also change your mpg to x liters/100kms.

Yup as long as you have the full digital cluster, the all measurement units will be switchable between imperial and metric.
