Storage Net Solutions For X3M with Spare

Hey guys,

So after getting my truck and realizing after the fact that the spare is a giant hump and that we lose the rails to lock in a cargo net I'm desperate to figure out another alternative. Have any of you guys been able to think of any solutions?

I'd rather have the spare and I do.
I'd try the weather tech cargo system.

It's insane stuff is sliding around my trunk it's super annoying. I was even like I'll remove the spare and get a mobility kit but I'm trying to figure out how to even take off that rear shelf but doesn't look like u can...

Ok this is a great find I wonder if there is a net attachment as well... cause tbh I drive the truck hard so will need up and down as well as side to side lol...

I almost passed on the X3 because the first vehicles I saw had that stupid spare tire hump. I was so relieved to find out that they were available without. I ended up buying from out of state to find a car that had the color combo & mobility kit. Hope I don't regret passing on the spare, but come on BMW, what's with that poor design? How can you not have a deeper cargo hold for the spare?

This is my set up and works fine, I have the weathertech mat which is nonslippery and use this box bought at amazon for smaller things. It has a cover and becomes flat. If I have something bigger I use this net I had from audi sq5 from many years. I just had twins so I moved from a F80 to this X3M and actually wanted the spare as not having on the F80 was bothering me thinking I could be stuck with my 9 month babies waiting for a flatbed to pick us up.
