Michelin crossclimate2

Has any one tried these tires? I am thinking of ditching my runflats and going with these.

i have them - They wear very well. Perform well above summer tyres in light snow and wet You do lose a little summer dry grip confidence. Overall they are well worth it in my opinion.

I bought Nokian WR04 and they are excellent tires. On my other car I have Cross Climate 2 and I love them. However, these are touring tires. If that works for you , you should get them. Comfortable drive, very quiet and they have excellent thread life. I tried them in snow and I think it’s by far the best all weather tire on the market. That’s also the feedback from the dealers. They are selling them like a cup cakes in our region.

Just had them installed!

Picked up a second nail in one of the rear run flats. It forced me to make the change. Took advantage of a local Memorial Day sale and rebates which made the pill easier to swallow. The ride home was excellent. Will keep you posted.

It has been a week now!

My driving experience in the rain has been excellent. I haven't had a chance to bust it out in the dry but the ride comfort is there. As you can see from the tread pattern, snow shouldn't be a problem but I can wait it was a long winter.

My impressions!

So far gas milage is the same. Ride quality is greatly improved and driving in the rain feels far more secure. Tar strips don't feel like you are driving over a broom stick. Cornering, because of the softer sidewall, offers a bit more lean but the grip is there. So far I am impressed.

Question What is the correct PSI for Michelin Crossclimate 2’s?

Follow up question. I just replaced my RFTs on my 2017 BMW X3 with Michelin Cross Climate 2’s. The recommended tire pressure based on the door plate is 32/38, which I adhered to with my 2 sets of RFTs. The Cross Climate 2’s were installed at 43/43, which based on what I see on the Michelin site, seems right for the tire. What tire pressures are you folks using?

We are considering these tires as a replacement for our Michelin X-Ice Xi2 winter tires. The winters keep getting warmer and warmer here in MD and it seems like we're not getting that much snow.

We plan to continue to use the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 in the late spring, summer, and early fall.

I set the tire psi to 33 F and 39 R, drives better. I also add 1psi+ from recommended PSI on the door.

A shop I bring it to sets it to 35/36 F and 40 R, still drives good but I like it at 33 F and 39 R, it depends what you like and how it drives.
