Having to book in to service

Well I thought I was doing well, 8 weeks of owning my car and having to phone dealership on Tuesday to see if they can fit me in before the weekend. Out for a run up to York today, this is the first proper run it as had. Once up to motorway speed 70mph all I get is a whistling noise from driver door/ window. Music playing and can hear it in the passenger seat. We going on holiday at next week so lots of miles on the motorway.
I tried with the rear window down to eliminate that window. Has anyone else come across this. Passenger side no whistle at all.

I get exactly the same thing at exactly the same speed, from the exact same location i.e. drivers door / windscreen area - been driving me a bit nuts. Only times it changes is if there is a strong crosswind but I can hear it 90% of the time. Be very interested to hear what the dealership thinks.

Some complaints about this are mentions throughout the forum, check this thread wind noise in M40i. Few members stated, that having acoustic glass helps. I have those and can't complain, but also can't compare to non-acoustic X3.

I don't have the acoustic side windows but it is not wind noise you can hear that from around the mirrors. This is a proper whistling sound. When doing less than 50 mph it is not present.
I have checked the door alinement and to me looks ok.

I have similar noise, which I attribute to wind noise. I suspect it came from air moving through the space between the A pillar and the mirror. It could also be noise created around the unsealed mirror (similar to you blow air across the mouth of an empty beer bottle and a high pitch sound is created).

I have the acoustic side glass and the noise sounds just like that air across a bottle-top analogy. Shame really, as the rest of the car is perfect.

I had that in my F25, it was due to an incorrectly installed trim piece. Once that was corrected, noise was gone. I do not have this issue with my G01, so I doubt that it is just wind noise coming from around the mirrors at speed.
