I think most M buyers spending $80K already would pay that for a leather dash on the X3M

gotta wonder if there is more to it, new M3 already says it will have full leather option, why were the X3M and X4M left out on that? or are they waiting for LCI like typical BMW to introduce something that should have been there from the start.

Having said all that, I have had both, My wife's old X6 and her new Volvo both have textured stitched dashes and they look really nice (much better than cheap plastic typical dashes). I also have full leather in my M3 and while I do like it, not sure its worth the extra $2,000 I paid, that money could be spent better elsewhere (guessing it really won't add anything resale either).
