I found the part number for the OEM buttons but they cost over $600. Not worth buying them to experiment.

When you purchased your kit did you choose the options for G01 ? On AliExpress.

Go here and pick G01/G02, cheapest seller I could find

I am.

F90/F97 M1/M2 buttons for $578.27, but G80/G82 M3/M4's M1/M2 buttons for $92.03, WTF!

I just received the paddle shifters, m1/m2 buttons.. do I need to unplug both batteries or just the one in the trunk? (To prevent issues with airbag)

Disconnected both negative terminals (hood and trunk)

Was unable to remove the airbag

Reconnected trunk battery then hood battery.

Got Parking Malfuntion

Update: Needed to drive the vehicle and make left/right turns. Forgot about this.

I disconnected the back only. Don’t forget to tie a rag or similar around the boot/trunk lock in case you inadvertently close it, you don’t want to do this with the battery disconnected!

Car takes about 10 minutes to shut down. Idrive and other lights will still operate immediately after disconnecting the battery.

If you can open the front door without the main screen illuminating your good to go.

Not really, I noticed mine will do the ambient cycle when and only when you press preset 6 on the radio buttons, maybe double check something like that

To disable the ambient lights from cycling;

1) turn on engine,
2) put to comfort mode,
3) hit preset 7 on the radio button. (this switches it off.)

4) hit preset 6, if u want to turn this annoying feature back on.

---------------

To disable the annoying comfort access;
(Seat moving back when opening the door)

1) open the rear door behind driver seat;
on the right (For Right hand drive)
Vice versa, left side for left hand drive.

2) press the unlock button on your keyfob 6-10 times, until the car horns 2 times.

3) Done, comfort access is disabled!

Anyone figure out how to get rid of the automatic window roll up feature when turning the car off.

After fitting these buttons my car doesn’t do any of these unwanted extra features.

Hi everyone, I've been following you since the thread started, it's the only source of information I've found. I have a 2020 BMW F40 135i. I am very interested in mounting the m1 m2 buttons since I like to play with the driving modes, and it is much safer to change from the steering wheel without looking away. I bought a kit on Aliexpres for the 3 G20 series model, I contacted the seller and he confirmed that it was valid for my car as well. I am waiting for the end of the car warranty period to proceed with the assembly. I have not found anyone who has tried it in a series 1, so I ask for your help, opinions and advice, thank you very much.

I got this message from the seller of my kit when I asked:

Turn on all hidden features:
Open all four doors and trunk door of your car
Press the "unlock" button on the car remote control key 6-10 times continuously
The vehicle alarm sounds 1 time (all functions turned on)
The vehicle alarm sounds 2 times (all functions are turned off)

I can confirm both mobilejo and em9886l input: my module was only doing the easy entry function, not the window-closure function, but when I pushed the unlock button 6-10 times on the keyfob with the door behind the driver open, then I heard 2 horn signals, and the easy entry function was indeed gone. Hope no other functions lost....I did it today, so no real experience yet....

It seems, that we cannot individually switch on the functions, which is a pity, because I would rather have the window-closure function, but certainly not the easy-entry function..... what a difficult life

You should be able to get just the window close feature - that's what I have currently. To do this, turn on all features (all doors and boot open, press unlock 6-10 times. If horn sounds once then all features are on). Once all features are on, turn off comfort entry only (rear door on driver's side open only, press unlock 6-10 times). Then turn off ambient light cycle only (start car, comfort mode, press memory button 7).

Now you should be left with window closure only, that's how I have mine set currently. Many thanks to em9886l for the original info.

Hi SCACE,

I cannot guarantee that my module is exactly the same as yours, and I have a 2022 3 series PHEV car, but maybe my experience still helps you. Here is a link to my 3 series forum entry earlier today:

I experienced an issue in which if i press M1, it won't go to Sport mode, I have to press it twice... and stuff like that, and from Sport to Comfort it will go straight to Eco.

Anyone with this issue?
