I'm all about led/light upgrades its cool, not 800 dollars cool unless your planning to move your driving position behind your bumper to enjoy it. LOL.
I'm sure someone in China will sell the modules for this soon. |

US cars have the entire turn signal strip and the brake light turn on as a combination, due to missing two of the wiring pins needed. It’s cool, but not $800 cool. And for that price I better be getting new housings. And for that price I’m sure they’re not modified OE housings.
On a side note, anyone seen the progressive flash they’re doing on the LCI X5/7 and X1? Something’s off with it. Too choppy. Maybe we should be content with what we have.

so how do rear taillights work?
is there a separate turning signal? is that OEM setup or coding? |

Confirmed, it's made in china aftermarket, somehow i (incorrectly) assumed this is based on "genuine" OEM parts. Not about to put some knockoff taillight assemblies. I can live with yellow drl "module" mod but the "whole" assemblies, nah...

I almost got bit by one from ali, they're all the exact same crap chinese junk made in the same factory.
My set had some rough plastic casting marks, one of the connectors took a significant effort to connect, and I immediately got the feeling that these things were not going to last more than 6 months. Given how sensitive these cars are to anything electrical, I returned them (after fighting ali, its crap seller and my CC for two months) and will go with OEM euro lights. Its just not worth it. |
