$18 brake pads (lol)

Doing some research on some lower dust pads and happened to come across these on Rock Auto. Both front and rear are the same price but the rears looks like only one set left. Regular price is more like $70.

Anyone know if these are HH friction rating, or FF (there’s a small FF in the right circle)? I was under the impression stock pads were GG. HH is basically race pad territory. The replacements I put in were FG which I hope will be less grabby at low speeds. They will certainly dust less.

That's a good question & I'll have to check for you. When I upgraded to the 6-piston X5 M front calipers I took a few photos of the stock pads.

I did a little research for you from an older thread I created a while back. When we took the factory pads out of the factory front calipers on an early build 2021 X3 M Competition, it looks like the factory put the GG pads in. You can see the circle / ring on the right clearly shows GG. Hope this helps @Potatohead-M2.

That's true. Were the pads that you took off / removed the original set that were installed on your car from the factory... ?

I believe so. Vehicle has 28k miles, fronts had about 20% remaining and rears about 40%
