F90 M5CS wheels for the F97?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Then started looking at alternative wheels from BMW. Well, found that the M5CS F90 has front wheels that are identical in specs. So wondering out loud if they'll work front and rear... The idea is get them bronze, lightweight (which BMW's are) and use the same size front and back to do 4 wheel rotations. Opinions? ** FRONT F97** Product Specifications: Product ID: ALY86556U30 Product: Wheel/Rim (Single) Fitment: Front Material: Aluminum Style: 10 Spoke Finish: Grey Machined Size: 20x9 Lugs: 5 Bolt Pattern: 112mm Offset: 28mm Option Code: Style 764M OE Part Number: 36118059718 255/45-20 Load Range: XL ** FRONT F90 CS BRONZE** Product: Wheel/Rim (Single) Fitment: Front Material: Forged Aluminum Style: 10 Y Spoke Finish: Gold Bronze Size: 20x9.5 Lugs: 5 Bolt Pattern: 112mm Offset: 28mm Option Code: Style 789M OE Part Number: 36119501872 275/35-20 Load Range: XL |

Probably won't work on the front. The front 764M is a 9 inch wide wheel while the rear 764M is a 9.5 like the M5CS wheel. People or dealers that accidently mounted the rear 9.5 inch 764M wheels up front ended up with damage to the inside of the wheel and the strut as they don't clear.

This is because of the offset, according to several threads I read and commented on. |

use www.willtheyfit.com to check your width/offset/tire size
Looks like it will be slightly more inset. You may need to run a spacer to make them clear. Last edited by Y0jjimb0; 07-02-2023 at 08:12 PM.. |

No problem. It's unbelievably helpful when figuring out new set ups and comparing tire sizes. The wheel measurements will be quite accurate but keep in mind that tires have a lot of variance between manufacturers and models, even for a given size. You can get pretty close with this but your ultimate tire choice may require a little real-world trial and error.
