The M135i was a non X-Drive btw. You can hear it struggling with grip at some ponts. But it's definitely the best choice for the M135i in my opinion...
I was referring to the X3 but I agree just did not have the volume up enough on my iPad.

If I could have xDrive on my M2 I would have checked the box.

I almost got the M240i xDrive but went for the M2 instead.

A matter of personal taste for sure. I think RWD gives you a (subjecitve) more sporty feeling... xDrive should be objective faster (0-60) and is more on the safe side...

I find myself coming back to replay this video with its immersive feel, so thanks again for sharing. Camera angles and in-cabin sound are well done. If given the chance, would appreciate the opportunity to run our G01 M40i on the Ring or in a controlled max performance Interstate/Autobahn setting as I have confidence it its handling given our brief time with it, but that will never happen. The short tracks just don't give it a chance to let loose and have some long run times, which is where the aerodynamic design really shines from our perspective. It is a totally different construct from the 2nd Gen.

I absolutely agree.

I will buy another xDrive car, I loved my old X3 and I am really liking the looks of the new one.

I also find myself revisiting this video. I wonder if the power output of the B58 in the G01 M40i is actually 355HP or not closer to 365HP. It is commonly known that BMW underrates their engines and watching the X3 speed away at times makes me curious. I am also curious as to what the speed of the X3 was when the M135i hit the speed limiter and if the X3 could ever do the same.

You're right!! We're really blessed with the unlimited Autobahn here in Germany.

But we have these left-lane sneakers and smart alecks, too. Often doing stubborn 130 and block just because they can - creating dangerous situations...

The X3 M40i should have enough prestige to scare them away in time
(sometimes a problem in the M135i doing top speed )

I rarely had any problem with the left lane in Germany when I drove my E92 M3. But France was another matter. The trucks were the worst.

By way of explanation for North American drivers, unlike the western hemisphere, in most of Europe passing on the right is not permitted. Rather appropriately it is called "undertaking". Motorcycles however do ned seem obliged to observe any traffic laws, freely making an intermediate lane for themselves. Not surprisingly there seem to be daily fatalities involving motorcyclists around Rome.

[QUOTE=markymark666;22411753]BMW X3 M40i G01 2018 test mule spotted ("Werkstestwagen") completely undisguised at top speed on the autobahn.

Any thoughts?

More Autobahn footage of the all new 2018 BMW X3 M40i G01 with higher bitrate and much better quality:
