Was yours build between March 1-8? If so, then you likely have the same missing strut. See his prior post with the detailed bulletin.

Yes, mine was built between there. I’m certain it’s the same issue. I’m just wondering if anyone else who is in this situation has gotten an ETA or any more info on a resolution.

Cars built after 3/8 apparently are fine so I can’t imagine why they don’t have an ETA on this. If it was supply chain, the plant obviously has parts now so why aren’t they repairing these cars yet or at least providing an ETA?

My dealer stated BMW isn’t sure what the cause was or if mine was even effected other than it has the stop sale. But it seems like the resolution would be to simply install the missing component. Dealer makes it sound like it wasn’t supply chain. I get the impression he doesn’t have any more info than I do.

It is what it is, but I’m just looking for information since I seem to be getting nothing other than they have no idea. Hoping someone else has heard more.

Hopefully you get a resolution soon. I haven't seen anyone else mention this particular issue. Mine was a late March build that didn't get officially completed until April 7 due to missing nav/chip related parts. Been sitting in awaiting carrier and at port statuses since then. Seems like there's always a supply chain or logistics issue these days!

I'm in the same situation as well. Missing struts, produced on 3/4. Been at the dealership since the last week of March.
Let us know if they were able to deliver you the car or you're still waiting.

My car has been at the "port of exit" - Charleston since the 3rd April. Sat there for early 3 weeks now.

Will take at least 4 weeks to get to me in the UK when it does finally depart.

So depressing when i ordered in October.

Anyone else been stuck "at port" for an extended period of time at the Spartanburg VPC recently? Mine was supposed to be picked up last Thursday but nothing seems to be happening. Northeast delivery. Genius has no updates. I've been seeing other Xs being delivered soon after production so this is a head scratcher.

Picked mine up on Tuesday from the PCD. So it's possible to fix... although I'm not sure what particular issue was causing the stop sale on mine to begin with. Hope yours is solved quickly!

Had a great pick up experience and my vehicle was even sitting in the main lobby in the morning. There was another group picking up a TR X3MC which also looked great. Drove it all the way back to NE Florida that evening and enjoyed every minute of it.

Sorry, no way to confirm what it was. I asked my delivery specialist at the PCD and he didn't know either. He did mention there have been a few held up over a software update. But yeah, I'd definitely try to lean on your dealer again, they should at least be able to tell you the cause of the stop sale and give an estimate.
