G01 X3 Year Differences/Changes 2018-2020

Hey everyone, might be joining the BMW family again for the first time in over a decade as my wife and I are planning to pickup a 3rd gen X3.

I'm able to find extensive info on the 3rd gen release and the differences over the prior gen; but, I'm having a terribly hard time finding the differences (if any) between 2018-2020 models. The only thing I know for sure is the X3 badge location on the rear changed between 2018 and 2019-2020

The reason I ask is because we're currently considering a few different vehicles so we'd like to know if there are any features we're "missing out" on or any other quirks/issues with specific years that we should avoid. We know 2018 is the first year of the 3rd gen X3 so hopefully by now the major issues have been TSB/SB/Recalled.

I can list a few differences between the 2019 xdrive and 2020 xdrive since that's what I researched. 2020 has the option of live cockpit which is an all digital instrumentation cluster. 2020 has the new idrive 7 system as opposed to the idrive 6 in the 2019 model. Also the 2020 has the option of 19" ferric gray Y spoke wheels as opposed to the 19" V spoke wheels.

And even this has been called into question lately. See mine below, built in June of 2019:

The M Sport version also gets acoustic glass and adaptive suspension as standard, in addition to Live Cockpit and IDrive 7, at least in UK. M Sport plus now comes without run flats too.

For US X3 models . . .

For MY19, the M Sport versions added the M Sport steering wheel and lost the cargo floor strut. For MY20, Live Cockpit Pro, iDrive 7, carbon fiber trim and a new 19" wheel were added as options, and the M40i got an updated engine with a power boost of approximately 30 hp to 382.

Thanks everyone for the chiming in. I read a bit into the M40 differences for 2020 but had a hard time finding it for the s/xDrive variants. My last BMW a E85 Z4 didn't have iDrive so I have zero experience or knowledge for iDrive variants.

Sounds like 2018-2019 though there have been next to no significant changes?
