The only way to clear adaptations is to use the service function in the DME.
Thanks freshxdough. I had this done recently at the dealer when my car went in for service as I mentioned the lag had got worse.
It was much better when I got it back from them.

Is there any way to use the service function in the DME through Bimmercode ?

cheers

No you need dealer software or at least a scan tool that has the capability of performing OEM service functions

The problem I experienced with trying the version that Tubes put up, is that on my X3 if I press the start button without pressing the brake, there is only one 'position' that the car goes to, and that says "press brake to start" on the display. But all the ignition lights/warning lights don't light up.

Also if you keep the accelerator pressed and press the start button to switch off, nothing changes.

The only way to switch off seems to be to hold the radio button for about 2 seconds.

On my E90 pressing the Start button without pressing brake pedal would cycle between first position, then 'ignition' position and then off.

I wonder whether we should be entering the 'diagnostic' mode instead?

cheers
