Haven't seen a set of S58 catted yet, but most likely Vibrant.

HJS/GESI cats are typically $600-$800ea, so you'd easily be seeing a $2.5K+ set of downpipipes if these were used.

I really just want more sound clips lol. I'd really love a direct comparison with stock.

I'm hoping for at least a 30-40% increase in volume.

Owner lives ~95mi away. With SoCal traffic, it's easily something that needs the entire day to clear. We'll dyno when its convenient for him and share results when available.

I'd say about 25%. It was definitely noticeable.

Yea, I just want more (don't ask why, I just do, lol).

I really want to hear more opinions and more videos.

What perfect increase in volume would you say it is over stock with valves open?

20-25% IMO.

Comp exhaust by default is pretty loud.

I have other things being worked on.
So, stay tune on my build thread. Since I don't want to thread jack OP's thread.

Do you know why ER included the flex joint as opposed to the S55 downpipes where they excluded it?

Most likely not needed on S58, but not a bad thing they're integrated. However, the flex-free versions have been running problem free on the S55 platform for years.

Side note, I know SuperSprint puts German HJS stainless cats in their high flow S58 offering. I had forgotten the manufacturer of the cat cell until I saw this post which jogged my memory. They also said they had experimented with other, cheaper, cells but came back to HJS for their quality and reliability. The cost of my downpipes was actually their cost of those HJS cats which they had externally sourced and welded into my new downpipes.

A good example of this would be the E46 M3 forums, used Supersprint pieces are sold almost immediately once listed (and still being used!). The cats used are expensive, but quality.

Anyone know if I will pass emissions inspection with the catless version, and keeping the secondary cats in place? Thanks.

No, you will need to reinstall your OEM DPs.

That would depends on your emission test law in PA.
I know that some state like TX doesn't care if you run catless.

Same for FL that law was rescinded years ago.

Anyone have a sound clip of an evolution racewerks high flow catted setup on an otherwise stock exhaust? I've searched the forums, asked ER (received no response), and still haven't located anything even close.

Hey MJD, I have the high flow ER with the full Akra exhaust. They make a significant difference compared to full Akra with the stock exhaust (I would say 20-30% louder).
