I can understand the increased price for X3/5 as they are made in the USA, but what about other models - ones made in Europe. Still more $$? VAT Tax the reason?

Mine said in production queue since last Tuesday. It is now Monday and tomorrow will be 7 days.

Mine is Wk38 and got 2 emails from BMW... first one said..

Your new BMW has entered the paint shop.

this was followed 1 hour 30 mins later with

Your new BMW has been fully assembled. Your new BMW X3 M40i, seen below, is now fully assembled and is undergoing rigorous checks and tests by the BMW quality control team.

Well, online still says "production begins" but phone info on completion date changed from 9/20 to 9/19 which is tomorrow. I hope the online status will update once it is truly completed. The suspense!!!!!!

My 2 previous X3s had a very jumpy production trend. No apparent movement for days, then skip 4-5 steps, repeat. I am guessing some status job runs don’t happen every 5 min.

I am awaiting carrier assignment as of this morning. Logistics company is waiting on paperwork.

FYI the BMW tracker is not very accurate. Most of the beginning things were pretty accurate but for example my car hasn't reached port yet (week 38 production) and it already said it arrived and as of yesterday said in transit (to dealer) and it's not even at the port. So just know that contacting your dealer is by far more accurate and the BMW tracker is not accurate by any means lol. Should be one more week from now

Interesting. It was pretty accurate for me and matched what my dealer was able to pull. But i agree it is jumpy and less accurate than I thought it would be.
